Everyone must understand Taekwondo is like a fighting chess... one wrong move then your opponent can take advantage. Also, legs (depending on a person) are hard to raise and extend. Also, taekwondo kicks must be executed correctly or else it will be a wrong move. Don't @ me, I am a black belt for almost 2 years and I have been a taekwondo athlete for 7 years.

Idk most points scored by Russia were NOT from side stance. Most of them were square to opponent during the delivery of axe and push kicks.

I'm enjoying the announce team on these clips, especially the guy from Scotland.

Great fight for modern TKD

Good fight. Note;avoid using superior kicks,wen you are tired in the ring. The kicks won't connect,and is gona be very slow,and enable ur opponent to score you back quickly.

This is the reason why Muaythai is so dominant in striking game. These techniques are good to score, not to knock the opponent out.

These techniques will be used in a different way if you wanna score or if you wanna power hit, but for a number of them, they very much are effective to knock the opponent out if you want them to be. Typically you'll hit with the tip of your feet rather than your heel with the same kick in competitive taekwondo so as to increase your range, and you'll be fine with losing some strength in the process. The same technique but hitting with the heel is gonna be very fearsome even if the purpose is to go hard though.

because punches to the face are not allowed and most of the strikes will be to the body so having your arms down to block the sensors from reading a touch is necessary. there is also a sensor in the headgear but as you can see that is a very hard target to hit.

Дак да, выглядит со стороны может и не так эпично как хотелось бы "диванным спортсменам", но шарящие люди(тхэквондисты), понимают что на самом деле это гораздо сложнее, чем выглядит. Сами бы постояли так, уже после первого боя устали.

Maksim keeps using kicks to counter cisses style. Look at it, maksim keeps throwing axe kicks cuz he knows cisse will throw a new school back kick or a spinning hook kick. He used that kick for like more than 10 times and only scored once with it...flashy but not effective yet so easily countered
