Taoist Water Method: How To Understand and Master Your Emotions Through Inner Dissolving Meditation
Ойын-сауық
#taoism #meditation #philosophy
Emotions are powerful and an inescapable part of being human. Yet we live in a culture that, for all its incredible technological sophistication, is almost entirely emotionally retarded. Most of us regularly get swept away by our emotional states, causing chaos and an immense amount of suffering. Though not always pleasant, emotions are not a problem in themselves. Neuroscientists have shown that emotions have a very short lifespan, a mere of 90 seconds to be exact. But when we get stuck on them and caught up in a reactive response pattern, it creates blockages in our system which eventually lead to all kinds of mental, emotional and physical problems.

“Aversion never works”. So very true.
Nice video. By the way, I think that the quote appearing from 13:11 to 13:17 is by Viktor Frankl from his book "Man's search for meaning" & not Steven Covey. But, all in all good video I'd say. Cheers!

You are right, I looked it up again and although you find conflicting attributions which also name Stephen Covey most attribute it to Viktor Frankl. Thank you for correcting me Vivek😊 sadly I cannot Change it in the Video anymore..
Another amazing video! You pack so much wisdom into such a brief time!

Great video, those guided steps towards the end were timely. In Nairobi we're about to go to bed, and revisiting the day is something I do. Thanks.
