When my wife was one month pregnant with my son, we went to the doctors office and got a scan of him. I could not believe what I saw! He looked like a tiny peanut with a pulse! You could actually see his pulse on the scan! It was the most exciting and awe inspiring moment of my life. When you said a new life begins with the heart, I literally witnessed this with my son. I have a very strange feeling that I have been looking for your academy for most of my life and just did not know it. Thank you very much Master Gu!

Translation note for English speakers: Jing is also literally, and usually, translated as Essence. By referring only to semen and not ovum (female egg), a supreme and harmonious joining of Yin and Yang leaves out Yin entirely when translating 精 as semen. Ancestral Jing refers to parents more than semen. Thank you, Master Gu.

@@RyderChampouillon I appreciate your commenting. Good point, however, doesn't this make my point? Why not make a balanced statement initially? This is from a woman who has spent her entire life being expected to believe that every time I read the word "man" I was supposed to believe that, Oh, Yes, we mean women, too, except for the people who didn't. I love qigong and TCM and I do not want to have to do contortions in my mind to feel the feminine is included/represented/respected. Balance! I am delighted that you cared enough to comment. I think a little more slack needs to be given to the man for doing his best to translate such a deep and secretive set of practices... yes he is only explaining the basic premise of the nei Jing to, but this internal mapping is so complex its hard to understand to native speakers. Different lineages have different understandings within their own language and underd standing. Considering the ancient culture producing the teachings and the language barrier, it may be better to be grateful for the teaching rather than asking for more in a way that could be better accepted by you and take it for what it is, a gift of knowledge and u derstanding. As it is said the Dao is unknowable and unnamable, it is the same through and through yet we each have a unique vantage point upon it.

So if I understand correctly, the two main channels or meridians would be first the sacrum, spine, spinal fluid and nerves associated with the spine and the head as the main channel or meridian for heat or chi to travel upward, and the sacrum, C7, and base of the skull are pumps so to say for the chi to rise into the skull. And the second channel is activated by touching the tongue to the roof of the mouth to connect the two channels, now the water channel or front meridian starts with the saliva and you chew the saliva to activate it, then swallow the saliva and follow it with your mind down the throat and down the front meridian through all the organs until you get to the base of the spine again, and that is where you would use this cool water energy from the front meridian to cool the heat in the spine, thus completing the micro cosmic orbit. I know there is a lot more to it but the way I see it is the basic two meridians IMO are the spine, back(heat) and organs, front(water).

Bless you both. By 'water' he does not mean saliva. There is no chewing at all. Your tongue stays at the roof of your mouth during the whole meditation. Your chi is the 'water' and its pressure is the 'heat'. You should consult a teacher to lead you through the proper visualizations and breath work.

When I was young, me and my friends would intentionally prank each other and talk meanly to each other in a friendly way. Now that I am older, I see that we were practicing Taoism and were teaching each other to become like water and allow insults to roll off of our backs. Nobody taught us to do that, it came naturally. Many of pitfalls in the modern world come from ignoring our natural behavior. The lies that society is built on do not need to be your limitations.

I have become familiar with some of these ideas through Mantak Chia and many of his methods work very well for me. I do breathing exercises irregularly for more than an year, in some periods I do regularly, but I have not come to feel my lower dantian nor my energy yet and I'm feeling frustrated, I'd like to know how much time you took to start feeling those?
