Exactly. I love my skin. I’m a light skinned Latina. I love it. It’s my identity. And I never doubted it for a second. My mom raised me to be proud of my skin color no matter what. People need to accept themselves because each and everyone of us have beautiful skin color that defines us and where we come from.

As a black girl watching this, it just made me realised more on how we don't appreciate our skin color better. They're people who will hate yr skin and people who like it, and actually people who want to look like you. Have seen this vice versa, people who are darker trying to look fair because of beauty standards, and other reasons that are not worth it. Watching this made me feel really sad. Her insecurity and self doubt was incredibly apparent and it was even sadder watching her as she would attempt to justify all the chemicals she’s putting into her body. This is extreme denial and I hate that society and social media have promoted such body modification for a fake, unachievable image. As humans we are simply not meant to change the way we were born to something unnatural. Watching her brush off the fact that skin cancer runs in the family was very very alarming. It’s such a bummer to see that Instagram and other social medias are the driving force behind total disregard for health.

I did notice that too.... I was expecting a good laugh, and I ended up feeling really sorry for her. She's obviously dealing with some kind of trauma and she's trying to forget it by focusing on her appearance. I did that too at her age, less dramatic, but still the same. Anorexia, addiction to plastic surgery, or to tanning, or to housekeeping, it's all the same... It gives a person the illusion to control things, to actually decide something, in a life where we actually have very little control. When we do, it requires some huge effort.

She gets interviews and followers for the weird part of this all, despite racism, privilege, sympathy etc.. the best part about this channel is that it always slightly try to warn us about the mental illnesses hidden behind people that INVOLUTARILY gain popularity in these ways, including parts in the videos where you can clearly see the sadness, insecurity and all the psychological part of it, if only people would stop for a moment just to analyze behaviours, gestures and looks... Just because is curious, people are attracted by these type of things, so, whether they like them or not, they follow them just for curiosity... or even worse, to make fun of them, or discriminate/insult... and this is sad in my opinion. Skin cancer isn't caused by spray tans, think of spray tans like paint. Its from tanning beds and think of beds as laying outside in the sun all day for several weeks but the sun is like 10 times stronger and you tan in 30 minutes. Also I don't support this btw just saying. I am probably the palest person most people have ever seen and I have never done anything like this. I actually had skin cancer in two spots when I was 14 because of my genes.@@PennyMsElite

As a black girl that gets bullied a lot for my skin color, I like that white people tan because it makes gill more appreciative of my skin color. I absolutely agree I live in belfast,northern Ireland and everyone I know fake tans and tells me to do the same or tell me I look sick or that I'm too pale and it made me so insecure. It's sad we are always 'too dark' or 'too light' we should all appreciate the skin we were born with

Melanin does not prevent skin cancer, it's the UV from tanning beds especially which are very high and goes deeper into the skin that causes skin cancer. What are you even talking about ....
