I want him to sing a ballad for a change I think he’s got a strong voice and be nice to have him show it off in a different way

The song choice did not help him but his intensity and emotion were still there. Coaches and their song choices are very important especially for the young artists like Tanner. I'll still vote for him as I like his voice very much.

I voted for him too❤. Sad to see him go but feel he won’t be totally gone…I think if he was on Niall’s team he would have had a different song choice and Niall would have aced every move for him…

I would like to differ with most opinions. I admire his energy and determination. I really enjoyed it and Tanner brought me joy and excitement with this song. He is full of charm and artistry.

He killed it but I think he'd benefit from a more vulnerable and slow song, they keep giving him these songs with big, explosive production... they gotta remember, he sang Lewis Capaldi in the blinds smh. I'd love a shawn mendes, ruel, etc type song if he moves on

yeah I voted for him but he only has 1000 likes on this video... I can only imagine he's going home... which is sad because maybe had he picked a slower more epic or romantic song he would have advanced.

I think a nice party upbeat song was perfect. He’s perfect our Disney Prince !!

He always brings intensity to the stage. The quieter parts of the song showed his tone and style best, then the louder sections & bgvs nearly drowned him out. The last 3rd of the song revealed a little strain. It was just Ok for me, dawg.

Tbh, I like that he's unique. His performance in general is always unique and that's what he wins on in addition to his emoting.

I love Tanner but what a song choice 💀. Make me cry like 'Before you go' & 'It isn't in my blood' or put me in ease like 'Shes always a woman to me'. But I also understand it's important for him in his journey that song selection has to be Dynamic and he must experiment to find the best version of himself.

He killed it! My only complaint is that the band was louder than he was at times. They could've turned his mic up or something.... otherwise, great job. The lead singer of fall out boy is a beast, so taking that on is pretty dang impressive, in my opinion.

I actually think he started the song well. I think as the song continued he was having a hard time catching his breath. His voice was straining and he couldn’t hit the notes

If Tanner does not make it thru tomorrow night, a big reason is how LOUD the band sound was!! Ruined a great performance.

I really like his voice and vibe. I wish he'd lift his head more, which is such a wierd thing - I know. But he tends to keep his face downwards which loses connection for me. His voice is A+ though.

I would have loved a close up on his face when he hit some of those power notes. The way his hair was styled hides his face a bit from the top angle or when the camera is far away. Happened in his other performances too.

Personally would have preferred a better song for Tanner. He sounded good, but this lacked the usual emotional connection he is usually able to convey.

Bob Hope's signature song was not in any hit but if we asked Fall Out Boy, they sounded like "Thnks fr the Mmrs" but Thanks For The Memories, Bob and now Fall Out Boy is the correct response. But was the next Team Gwen artist that was # 19 in our top 20 after rehearsing the studio for that version. Chance told Tanner to learn the original pitch of the song first so that he can start with that foundation and then find own voice with that framework. This week he was the only person to stay in the competition.....

He can pull off anything

I really like Tanner. I think he’s adorable, sings with a lot of passion, and seems to be having a great time. These longer song times are revealing issues with his technique - he’s SO tense that it leaves him tired and strained by the last third.

Better than most this week -- no fakery, no "pop star image" garbage -- just using his voice BACKED UP by his body to deliver the message, instead of the other way around. Well done.

Tanner has soul in his voice, the band should never be louder than him in any of his performances ever. The sweet thing about Tanner’s voice is when we can hear his soul in the song. He would capture hearts if he sings ballads or r&b.

Great song choice, but his performance is missing so much..

Weird, because watching the live show, I felt like it was off-key and out of sync. But when I listen to it here, he sounds just fine, in fact, really good. I like his singing a lot but have not liked his last several song choices and wardrobe choices. Seems like he's stuck in the 90's boy band thing. But I love his voice and demeanor and would love to hear him singing other types of music. I don't think he's found his niche yet, but I certainly was pulling for him to be the the last save.

He is not a rock singer (yet). He does not have enough power, grit or high belt to truly murder that genre. He is great and he will learn but until then he should focus on stuff he can kill right now.
