"Tankbag Is Coming":
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
"We observed the mistakes of the competition and corrected them in the Himalayan 450", says Antoine Borsik, Senior Design Engineer at @royalenfield , who sketched many concept renders of the bike.
In what is probably my favourite interview from this series, Mr Borsik takes us through who this bike is for, what he likes most about it to what Royal Enfield corrected in their bike looking at the competition's mistakes to breaking down the entire bike in concept phase.
Fun fact: Mr Borsik, a few years ago, was also involved in the development of the Yamaha Tenere.
You can check out his concept designs on his Instagram here: antoine_bor...

Finally someone at RE design who could tell background story of design & thought process behind it all.
Thanks @abhinavbhatt for connecting us with behind the scenes at ABR scene! It is always a happy experience to know about thought that was put in by designers & engineers at RE.

Thank you. The real story is always the people behind the machines.
Excellent to see an interviewer not only throwing softball after softball like many bigger publications. Respect!
The questions you have asked are really great Abhinav 👍
Loved the way you kept asking the uncomfortable questions. And yes, he also answered it fairly honestly, mostly about the bike being an affordable one and we cannot expect everything to be perfect. Because, no motorcycle ever will be. But really appreciate your efforts in this interview. Most people would find asking such questions to a guy, in such an event and scenerio, quite socially difficult.
Good job, they still need to address QC issues with Chassis break and Wiring issues catching fire.
Damn... That sherpa is simply looking like actual sibling of T7 WR
wonderful machine. Thanks to the Engineers for making this beauty..
Great video. Very informative! Thanks a lot!
Great video! Thank you!
Really nice quality content! Surprised it doesn't get more views. So many of people's doubts and understanding of Himalayan would change if they could have this information. Good stuff Abhinav

Bro didn’t hesitate to ask the tough questions - welding, the side stand , & tubeless tyres … 3 kryptonites of Himalayan 450.
Quality content!
Always good content, 👍. Waiting to get my Himalayan hopefully at the end of the month. And yes I will drive it from the Netherlands to India and on 😊
Well now that's the true moto journalist review. Amazing video.
I’m not big on riding off road, but I do like off pavement (dirt and gravel roads), so I’m really looking forward to the Guerrilla.
The suspension I've ever experienced on two wheels, I hope RE keeps improving it
Looks an interesting bike will have to get to a dealers and take a look
i always said - old himmy look, new engine and suspension
Another nice one, is the buzz getting lesser or disappearing the next lot of 452s ?
Dajyu.. ❤❤
its always in the eyes😃
The side stand is perfect.. Easley stand any mountain area with luggage..
Any chance you can install rackless saddlebags with out installing pannier racks.
Do share the himalayan 450 accessories
Abhinav bro, pl find out when tubeless rims will be available for the 450 hm
any news on when the tubeless spoke rim will be available ??
Western people should watch this before coming negative about the bike
Rally suits well on 452
Any word on engine clatter reduction?
We may expect that tubeless rim next year😂😂😂.
I just wanted one so bad but they're not being sold yet in my country. So I bought a 400x.
Abhinav any idea when they are planning the tubeless rims. There has been absolute radio silence from RE.

Arrow should start producing it soon but unlikely to make it to India. Wouldn't be under 50k.
Question them why not give traction control, cruise control, adjustable levers, quickshifter as another variant for bit more money. People would happily pay little more for these features

Would be get the RE Arrow exhaust in india for this?

Unlikely. It won't make sense anyway. Would cost at least 40-50k. Would you buy a slip on that's heavier than stock and not make that much more power for that money?

Two different markets. You want reliability buy RE. You want to travel long distances with any issues at all? Buy RE. You want a chinese Teneré looking bike, with a bunch of chinese electronics to go 100km trips and then go home? Buy CF 450mt.

@@Fractal379 He should have said so then, that he can't answer that question instead of getting political. A whole lot of us only bought the Himalayan because we were told that the tubeless spokes were getting launched as early as in 3 months, and that was November 2023. After that, there has been a collective silence from the brand, collective amnesia. Nobody dares talks about it. They don't even reply to the queries on their Instagram page. I have asked numerous journalists about it, no answer yet. So, if RE, as a brand, doesn't even have a time frame for something that they promised us last year, they're doing a shit job, and not talking about it, or giving vague answers like in this video isn't helping their cause either. They'll launch more bikes, and the customer will remember this behaviour. Next time we'll take all their announcements with a fistful of salt.
