My old commander Chatty Taylor RIP, after leaving the army went to work on the maintenance team at the tank museum at Bovington. On my travels I popped in to see him now and again. He told me a story once that a T34 was parked up over night on a low loader. It was going to be used as a target at Lulworth. Discovering that it was a better example then the one they had in the museum, they swapped them over night.

Most people want the newest of everything, very few want the old stuff and even less know how to make it work. I'd like to see just about any piece of machinery from today's day in 70 years' time, I severely doubt any new vehicles (2015+) will even exist in 70 years let alone be functional. With what they make cars out of now days one would you'd be lucky if it wasn't a pile of iron dust aluminium dust and plastic in 60 years time. Takes a good person to keep an old girl running like that.

The engines are amazing, we watched him getting the injection pump to work using a couple of sockets, screwdriver and a pair of pliers, 80 years later they're still using a variant of it, if the clock's not broke and all that

@@charlesuplifted5216 Did you watch the video? The guys repaired an injection pump using very simple tools. that's some edge as for low quality. More people have died at the barrels of an AK47 than any other weapons system in history, they're the most reliable weapon ever invented

Diesel injection pumps are very complicated, intricate pieces of equipment, they usually need specialists with specialist tools to fix and calibrate them, it's ASTONISHING they got that to work using such basic tools, underestimate them at your/our peril

Great to see the EGR valve is working well in the shed🤣. Well done ladies and gents. T34 were notoriously tough to drive and a good work out on the steering levers, but apparently changing gear in them is a whole new experience. Coming on well.

В Сталинграде таких не было. Это версия с 85 мм пушкой. Появилась летом 1943 года. Дебют танка был на Курской дуге. Это был ответ на появление у немцев танков Пантера и Тигр.

Know exactly where you are. In my case two weeks in hospital with broken tib and fib and still pretty well bed bound 8 weeks later with still full cast from bum to toe. You tube is such a help!!!. You don’t go into detail with your accident, I fell onto stone steps, from an unprotected platform,at the step pyramid saqquara.

I literally only just stumble the cross your channel maybe 3 or 4 hours ago and watch the very first video I've ever seen or someone just casually working on a tank in their house, then you upload a video actually getting it started and driving around the backyard. Amazing video! And please don't paint the outside of the tank! Seeing the original paint is amazing and rare! Every single restoration tends to just blast it in cheap paint and most of them look bad. Seeing the faded green really makes this tank look amazing! Fantastic work!

Да это правда :) у вас есть кусочек хорошей военной истории. По мнению некоторых историков, именно танк Т-34 (как и Jeep Willis) сыграл решающую роль в победе во Второй мировой войне. Мне очень нравятся ваши танки Т 34, как и их старший брат ИС 2. К сожалению, в Польше их очень мало в таком состоянии.

@@isenbull2242 Ахаха, ну как же без хохла-то со своим экспертным свиным рылом... Подскажи, хохлоэксперт, Шерман имевший плюс-минус то же бронирование и вооружение это тоже разочарование? Или это баринское и значит самое лучшее? Самые потешные танки той войны - это как раз немецкие танки завершающего периода войны. Ни брони из-за тотального дефицита, ни мобильности из-за перегруженной ходовой. Зато по прямой в чистом поле можно было стрелять на 2Км прицельно, дааа. Только это никого не волнует когда тебя уже охватили с флангов и отступать некуда и подмоги уже небудет.

@@isenbull2242 Самый массовый танк СССР. 85 это одна из модификаций танка Котова. Сама Т34 была уже в 41 в боях, но не так массово. В начале ВОВ его было подбить крайне не просто и потом он стал одним из самых используемых. Твоё суждение основано на ненависти или на чём?

Т-34 должен был быть переходной ступенькой к Т-43/44, но "вЯликие мыслители" из ГАУБТ решили всё оставить как есть в 1941 году , с той же самой неудобной компоновкой и жутчайшей обитаемостью машины. Управление танком требавало постоянного напряжения от мехвода , который для этого использовал бывало кувалду. Тогда как в иностранных машинах такой дичи не было. Но к чему лишние слова - в СССР не заботились о людях и проблемы "индейцев" шерифа не интересовали.

That’s my favorite tank in the world. I got to see and touch one last year and I won’t lie it brought a tear to my eyes. I never thought I’d ever get to see one in person let alone touch it. Now to get to ride in one bf I leave this world. I have gotten to do 2 out of the 4 things I’ve wanted to do bf i die. But I’m happy to have gotten to do them two things and I’m happy with that. This made my day seeing this video. Love it!

@@TECHNOP.V.A. :)) Да, это правда. Я вырос на этом сериале. Мне это нравится, и хотя сегодня я дедушка, иногда смотрю отдельные серии с внучкой. Танк Т 34 во время войны был отличным танком. Памятников таким танкам и ИС 2 в Польше было очень много. Жаль, что их больше нет, потому что это сувениры кровавой войны. Многие из этих машин прошли долгий путь. Я очень рада, что вы сохраняете эти сувениры истории!!

@@bazwabat1 Most likely, I remember when my Grandfather had said that the T34/85 in early 50s and 60s had Russian signs inside. Only at the end of 60s and beginning of 70s polish language was implemented in tanks. But I might be wrong.

@@danielbielski8419 This is a T-34/85M2, a Polish modification made in Bumar-Łabędy with around 1400 made. They differed a bit, first of all, the front armor plates were joined "at the joint", without a connecting beam and the shape of the turret casting and the course of the lines of joining its molds were specific. You can also see elements indicating the tanks' adaptation to deep wading. Also worth noting is an additional infrared illuminator next to the mechanic-driver's hatch, operating his TWN-1a night vision device.

I only remember my grandad telling me that early models had signs written in Russian language in them as most of it was brought to Poland from Russia (soviet union). Thank you for the info given, I need to read more about them as I can only roughly differentiate some of them. I need to re-visit the Bovington Tank Museum to see theirs T34-85. Cannot remember where that one came from.

@@danielbielski8419 Not most, but quite a large numer of T-34's were Soviet-made. About 1600 pieces served in the Polish Army in totall, of which 1100 were Polish produced.

The little valve is the one you remove on number one it get the absolute point of injection. You screw on a bit of old injector pipe as a swan-neck and when it stops dripping (as it was doing here) the pressure plunger has sealed the bypass port. (The helical side port the rack and governor use to control engine speed/power)

Knowing what we know now, this is jaw-droppingly amazing that it ran so well. Absolutely astounding.

^^^ I've heard about THAT Polish T.V series - T.34/85mm & the Dog's name is "RUDY" It's a Tier.7 Premium tank in the online game "World of Tanks BLITZ" & I bought several (I've got x 3 accounts) Wasn't it filmed in 'Black & White' ????? Late 1960's right ?? But re-screened as repeats in 1980's/1990's ????

Always good to have optional routing available for the injector pipes, 1: put it on the engine, 2: insert it in Jack….. And I owe the met office an apology, I’ve been cursing them for p**s poor forecasts because it’s been so cloudy round here, now I know the truth, it was Joe’s disco inferno smoke machines (plural cos’ I’m including the beemer). Sterling work chaps!
