The band he was playing in, the drummer just kept playing this hyper-active all over the place solo, and when the rest of the band finally stopped playing, having lost all sense of time, asked him what in the hell he was doing. He responded with "Man, ya'll playing dead people's music! My music is the truth!" Laughs were had, but that guy was hella out of there.

Once upon a time, in New York City in 1941…at this club, open to all corners to play, night after night, at a club named “Minston’s Playhouse” in Harlem, they play jazz sessions competing with each other. Young jazz men with a new sense are gathering. At last, they created a new genre itself. They are sick and tired of the conventional fixed style jazz. They’re eager to play jazz more freely as they wish then… in 2071 in the universe… The bounty hunters, who are gathering in the spaceship “BEBOP,’ will play freely without fear of risky things. Conga solo was really good but felt long. Drummer sounds like he's never listened to the song before. He's playing an 80s disco beat to a song in a Latin-ish 3-3-2 groove. Also he's pulling the song because the high hats were supposed to be on the beat but his groove made it sound like it's on the up beat and it ruined it for me.

Cool version but perhaps it lacks what makes the original better: playing tight! I feel like the drummer lost everyone plus they look like they play just by reading their sheets ... Plus the sax guy is insane, and insanely cool

Sax guy: Finally I get my own solo. Bongos: yeah nah you don't want that
Conga solo was really good but felt long.

It's his solo he was perfectly on time and was playing funk
jazz is improvisation. love the sax solo
Cool version but perhaps it lacks what makes the original better: playing tight! I feel like the drummer lost everyone plus they look like they play just by reading their sheets ... I'm not complaining either way, this is a very cool version and I have no doubt this piece is complicated to bring to life without too much protuding stitches. Plus the sax guy is insane, and insanely cool
without any editing... the sound of the sax is just excellent. kudos for all the band!
The extended bongo solo was definitely planned . . .

*puts on sunglasses* Cameraman: Starts talking like jive
Legend has it that the Bongo player is out there, still playing
Bingo player like “1,2,3 I’ll jam”
Wow!! The percusionnist was on fire, the intro was awesome!!!
Holy rushing batman!
I think it's time to blow this scene. Get everybody and their stuff together. Okay, three, two, one let's jam.
Fucking start the song already jesus. I'm like 2 minutes in and still waiting.

The congo is outstanding! Awesome job!!
Awesome guys! Being a big fan of the music and of Cowboy Bebop I'd just love to one day being going to a game or concert with them breaking this out, don't care if it's not an exact replica it was freaking awesome!
I'm so glad you guys played this song. Sad that I didn't get to see it live.

Wow!Yoko Kanno who is Japanese female composer made a footstep in American jazz scene.
that sax solo is what i have been waiting for!!!
That sounds great and fun to play, too.
what even was that bong solo
LOVE the extra conga fire, fantastic!
Best version ive seen so far, kickass!
Maybe the long bongo intro was intentional. Y'know, so they could actually have a reason to blow this scene together... lol

Yooo, the beginning had me dying hahaha good stuff.
2 minutes of suspense Meanwhile bongo guy is going ham on those bongos
Best cover I think I've seen yet
Awesome Performance by the saxophone player. Hats off to you sir.
great job, wish my jazz band played like that!
Are you Dragging? or Are you Dragging?! hahaha
feel so gooood!
That sax player is so many leagues beyond the band he is playing with. My God. I could see the fucking talent when he missed that first high note of the original sax rift ending solo. the guy has an intrinsic coordination to recover so effortlessly like that as if he was merely searching his book pile for the book his friend wanted to borrow. What a fucking guy.
That is awsome,I feel like it's spike and jet working together😁
Sax guy absolutely killed it. Meanwhile conga man be like-
amazing!!!
fantastic solo
AWESOME!
Camera dude be hollering and hooting like he's never seen real music before, my word
I liked the part with the bongos
You're gonna carry those bongos.
The ending is the most incredible part.
GCSU ftw!!! Nice! Proud to be from this state haha
Daaaaaaaaaaaaamn those congas man...............That was pretty cherry
Jees man the drummer...
Alternate title: dude puts on sunglasses
woah this is really good
The bongo solo sounds like McDonalds Sprite tastes

That sax solo at the end wasn't in the original song, but I LOVED IT!!!
God damn they are talented.
Good effort, but the timing was off. Some bits it kept pace, but it was constantly speeding up. A Metronome is needed here.

moonasha actually your statement is wrong this song is extremely rhythmic. The articulation was inconsistent and does need more work tempo wise.

The original jazz piece keeps a consistent tempo throughout. You can't blame sloppiness on the fact that you're playing jazz. Perhaps you should brush up on your understanding of what jazz is.
the solos dude
Everything was bongo mans play ground... until sax man change glasses
the bongo solo was so long that i forgot what song was playing.
hands down best opening song on a tv show ever
Congo man is on fucking fire, jesus christ. Great performance all around.
great!!!!!!!
Do you guys not understand jazz music? Yes, they may seem off-tempo, but that happens ALL THE TIME in jazz. Trust me.

Ahar Sdi Not really. There have been many covers of different songs made by different people. Adding altercations shows originality. That's what creators/composers want. Many classics and important songs have been remixed and covered. Nobody's turning in their grave.
