Ойын-сауық

Tank And The Bangas are on tour now. Dates are listed here: www.tankandthebangas.com/home/
Welcome back to AVC Sessions, our new series where we bring in an artist, band, musician, singer, rapper, etc. to perform three of their own tracks. For the inaugural Session, NPR Tiny Desk Contest winners Tank And The Bangas brought their style and New Orleans charm to the A.V. Club studio. In the latest video from their Session, the group performs “WalMart,” a track from its 2013 album, Think Tank.

I hate to say it but when it first started I was judgmental. I am glad I gave it a small chance to hear such a pure expression of ones self in the form of art/music. Thank you.

Clearly I need to stop watching these while I'm at my desk at work. It's nothing but non stop chills, self reflection and always an urge to shed some tears due to self-realization. I really wish ya would finally come to Atlanta

This is my favorite version of the song that is on KZread, energy is off the hook, and I like the settle changes in the songs that make it more hype

This is my second favorite. My first is the one where she’s wearing the army fatigue jacket. (I listen to several different versions of this song like it’s an album twice a year lol)

Such a beautiful portrayal of what so many women go through. This shit needs to be spread wide cos it's art man. It's emotion and experience and pain and pleasure. It's art. Beautiful.

Attention Walmart Shoppers! Everything in the entire store is free But everything in the store is also damaged Please shop at your own risk. So I guess you can say I kinda knew what I was buying I saw you in aisle four Damn, you were everything broken and beautiful. And I just knew that you would Go so well with the furniture in my heart Now I didn't read your warning labe I knew you had a piece... missing. And hazardous things I could swallow like, my pride But I was okay, you were on sale! And you were stunning I could already see you matching with the art and my heart The painting of the mind in my living room, The tile would match so well with your skin I could see myself throwing out that old couch Me and my ex used to sit on You would fit so perfectly in his place I was ready to make space. For you. As I strolled through the walkway, I could hear pieces of your honesty drop on the floor I kept walking, I overheard your voice on another aisle That led me know you were communicating with someone else, So I guess we not communicating. I often wondered how so many pieces of you were missing Yet you were just heavy as the first day I picked you up off that shelf I think it's because when I picked you up I think it's because when I picked you up I put down myself I often wondered, I wondered How I could allow the same person that made me feel like I was invincible, To treat me like I was invisible I was so vulnerable in your aisle four Willing to buy your damaged merchandise Just to claim that you're mine and your mine alone, You're broken and beautiful, torn painting and Here I am making sure I am beautiful enough border just to frame it I need to go back to aisle four There's a piece of this mirror that my mama gave me I think I left it and picked up you Self-reflection should never be confused with who is looking at you I should have left you where I saw you But who was I to judge the store in which I was shopping, So should I shun the customer or what she was buying I walked up to your register As I was about to check you out, The cashier was your brother, He told me of all your shit, Told me I couldn't exchange you for anotha, So I'm sorry, it's my fault I walked into your Walmart Full of explosives, half --, and torn notebooks I put my money on the counter and I believe I purchased a beautiful sad storm I thank God, I thank God, I thank God that I kept my receipt. Walmart and Kmart would happen to us, missing your heartbeat Yeah she took your trust, Receipts keep coming needed your love boy, But you got a crack in your heart pot, heart pot
