I just realized how great Tango picking a torch as a friend when he’s always depicted with flowing flame hair is for the animatics. Somewhere in his flame/blaze backstory Tango had a blaze friend named Torchie and this series is so weird it turned into an imaginary friend. Sorry this animatic made my imagination run wild. It was soooooooooo good

I LOVE how when torchy dissapears he turns into the evo logo for a second then disappeared. Amazing detail, makes me imagine that the watchers took torchy up to wherever the watchers live and like, gave him sentience or something so that he can come to Tango in a vision to warn him of a great tragedy. (I dunno man, it’s just what my brain pictured.)

Not torchy saying “take that pumpkin boy” as he’s giving Scott an L is so funny 😂

I love how Jimmy has the dog collar and Scott’s design is giving “I’m the girl who goes shopping with you and makes you feel like a princess but I’m a queen on the battlefield”

IM IN LOVE. The subtitles are hilarious and the animation is gen incredible!! One of my absolute favourite Tango animations. NEEDS TO SEE THIS!!!

I had to play this at .5 speed to read the subtitles, and it sounds like everybody's high. I highly recommend rewatching at .5 speed. Its so worth it!

XD I am literally crying trying this it's so funny!!!! because of my hardcore dyslexia with stuff with subtitles I have to slow it down a lot and so I put it at 0.5 speed and (I'm literally crying) tango sounds like if some version of Siri got drunk and because of that became extra flirty, especially with Jimmy lol

I guessed Torchy would have either been copying tango or being a physical manifestation of his anger issues lol, went for a bit of both in the end

Tango's interaction with Torchy was very genuine, to the point it continued after the task was inevitably guessed. Also side note, I love how these illustrations and characters are colored, unlike most other animatics I've seen which are just black and white/any other 2 colors and feel like rough, even though still high quality graphical sketches.

I love each frame of this! But I think the inbetweens needed to be a bit smoother. My eyes were struggling to keep up with the keyframes because the subjects jumped around a bit too much
