    Blow drying is MORE gentle than blow drying. Blotting is rubing it against other fabrics, blow drying it blowing heated air on it. Unless it was put together with glue, wet then air dried shouldn't have done it. Also how do you think a dryer works?? It clearly said it could be washed like laundry and everything sewn together else you own would last LONGER if it was blow dried. If you can put LAUNDRY detergents, WAAAY strongee than make sponge cleaners, on it and put it through a spin cycle with your clothing AND a dryer then simply hand washing it and drying it shouldn't tear it. It's made of really shitty materials like some carnival plushies.

    @@Gingersnaps_the_pumpkin_kitty bro I don't think you know what blotting is. Blotting isn't rubbing, it's gently patting so no a blow dryer which applies high heat to a small surface is not more gentle. They tell you to blot dry for a reason, the product problem can't handle heat which is why they don't want you to put it in a dryer

    I can’t verify whether Tati actually told her fans it was okay to use a hot blow dryer on her product, but just as a general rule of thumb, DO NOT use a blow dryer on any sort of delicate fabric (unless it has a cold setting). I accidentally spilled some water on my favorite microfoam pillow, tried to blow dry it, and it straight up burned a hole into the fabric. That’s why I don’t necessarily think it’s an indicator of the quality of the product itself. Sometimes things can work really well, but are also very delicate and you have to take care of it. I understand that people are used to sort of beating up their beauty blenders and the like and just either throwing it away or buying a new one, but if Tati is marketing this is a luxury product, then it’s not bad that you have to be careful with it. Just my thoughts.

    Fun fact - idiotic behaviour like that made people hurt and dead many times especially in previous century. We can only be happy that for most part nowadays, producers care more for costumers and misuse of a product doesn't end up with deadly electrocutions, burned down homes and massive bodily burns (for example from melted plastics).

  • @Gingersnaps_the_pumpkin_kitty

    @Gingersnaps_the_pumpkin_kitty

    It didn't burn it. It had no burn marks. Its shitty sewing people. Dryers are giant blow dryers for clothes and it says you can throw this shit in with your laundry. Blotting would actually make it fall apart FASTER because the number one thing that kills fabrics is FRICTION. Blow drying it is like air drying it but faster and unless it's put together with glue instead threads should be able to hold it together regardless of the heat. If it's hot enough to start melting threads, I can gaurentee the tougher threads used in the seams to keep the materials together from the INSIDE aren't melting first or by themselves. It's made with shitty materials. Btw your hair isn't fabric. It requires oils that evaporate with heat, hence with it gets brittle and clothing in your dryer does not unless it's something made of like solid lace. And that's because things like that are made primarily of thin fabrics held together by thin elastics that become distressed under heat AND friction thus causing it to fall apart. You don't "blot dry" solid lace thongs and those are made to be delicate. You air dry. And if a material can't take blow drying without falling apart, you sure as fuck don't rub it against other fabrics to dry it.

    @@callahardy8639 Dryers are giant blow dryers for clothes and it says you can throw this shit in with your laundry. Don't talk about fabrics and sewing like your smarter than everybody else unless you ACTUALLY know how this shit works. Btw things like your hair that get damaged more by blow drying and less by friction drying aren't fabric. It's stronger and it requires oils that evaporate with heat, hence with it gets brittle and clothing in your dryer does not unless it's something made of like solid lace. And that's because things like that are made primarily of thin fabrics held together by thin elastics that become distressed under heat AND friction thus causing it to fall apart. You don't "blot dry" solid lace thongs and those are made to be delicate. You air dry or dry in a dryer. Rub it against its self or another fabric and you're wasting your money.

    Let’s be real, nobody should really be inhaling anything in their lungs other than non-polluted air. No matter what substance you inhale, it’s gonna mess up your lungs. Advertising that stuff to kids (Tana’s audience) is very dangerous because it makes them think it’s a cool thing to do even if they don’t actually need the essential oils (also why not just apply topically or orally?). Stick to good old air kids lol Edit: Just want to quickly mention that I know some people need puffers, medical marijuana, etc. I’m not looking down on those people who medically need these things to feel better, nor am I gonna condemn someone of legal age to purgatory for making their own choices (although I’m simply not a fan of smelling cigarette smoke and such). I also said unpolluted air because air is made up of more than just oxygen, and some places unfortunately have air quality so bad from forest fires, pollution, and such that it affects you just as much as smoking. My main point is that unfortunately Tana has a young, impressionable audience that is unaware of the dangers of the product she’s endorsing. The bigger problem here is that Tana is a poor role model who is fully aware of her audience’s age group, but continues to make choices like smoking a blunt or advertising products that aren’t safe for them. They are underage and developing, so until they are old enough to make better judgments and choices, the least Tana can do is make her audience more aware that smoking anything in general has health side affects that don’t always show right away. One last note: sniffing something through the nose and ‘keeping it there’ before blowing it out still involves the lungs, so while you might not get as much material in your lungs than directly breathing it in, your nose and mouth are connected to your airway; you will be getting some of that substance in your lungs.

    re: Tati's sponge! This is not a rip. It looks to me personally like either the seam doesn't have enough seam allowance for the very shifting/loose weave of the fabric cover OR the seam needs to be lightly reenforced to prevent stitches pulling out. Orrrr both? I'd personally go with a slightly larger seam allowance and some kind of fusing or tape, with even a knit/stretch stitch on the seam to help with this. Possibly overkill, but at least it would prevent one wash seam popping. (It's also possible that the seam is popping where it's been closed from the outside after it's been flipped? But I'd hope they are all being flipped at the same point, that's standard, and those popped seams looked to be in different places.) Emma Kay good point. And feeling like you don’t like a product or it’s not to your taste =/= a scam. She showed what she was selling, told the price, said she liked it, and people bought it. She doesn’t have very picky taste in anything in life and doesn’t mind if things are a bit chintzy or messy. With these in mind, why be surprised that the bottle you saw in the video showed up in the mail? It is a risk to buy a new line of products from someone new to the game, 10x more so when it’s Tana. I like her and I think she meant to make something cool. I feel like defects in product aren’t worth a lynch mob basically.

    Honestly the reason I first fell in love with Kat von D's products was because they were so different at the time than anything that had been put out, I loved her dark style and I'll never say her products came from a shit lab. Her products were high quality and eye catching so for her to pull the "yOu GuYs JuSt DonT uNdErStAnD mE oR mY aRt" card is foolish 🤷🏽‍♀️

    judas michael I agree. I’m vegetarian! But I’m just saying that the general public is sorta unaware of the benefits of being vegan, so they were quick to judge her and tell her that it wasn’t right and her child would be malnourished. Which could be true, if she doesn’t do it the correct way. However, I think Kat should give her child the option to not be vegan in the coming years.

It’s a health hazard for everyone involved.
