Triple-negative breast cancer affects Black women three times more than white women. Tamyra Kelly was diagnosed with triple-negative breast cancer in 2016. She almost skipped her breast cancer screening. If she had, her doctor said it might have been too late to treat effectively.
Now wherever she goes, she tells her story. She stresses the importance of screening. She said, “I stress screenings because it's so important because it can really save your life. Because my screening, it saved my life.”
