Yes, they use saffron for coloring because it is natural and it is forbidden to use chemicals because they harm the human body. Saffron is known to be expensive, 3 euros per gram or 4 euros

I see you in Hassan our friends shop. He has been there many years and is very helpful and great. Yes Aladdins cave for sure. We have spent hours there over the years there and bought carpets from him. The colour will wash out a bit though so be careful. We live right up the other end of Aourir and love it. So nice to see you there. It is busy up the main rd end with traffic. Great video. Banana village getting m6ch bigger like everywhere. 👍✌️This is Aourir not Tamraght. A lot if where you are walking at the begining of the vid is relatively new. When you turn up towards Hassans shop the old original arch covered shops, that will eventually be replaced. Shame as its very traditional but hopefully a good job will be done. The small bananas grow locally hence the name banana village.

this is Aourir not tamraght Aourir is known for its local bananas and for domestic chiken tagine the best chiken tagine in Morocco but since it's Ramadan it's hard to find an open restaurant but you should try a chiken tagine in Aourir don't miss it !!

Hi Gavin & Sarah, the rug looks wonderful, if it's colored with safran it's worth the price, currently they use curcuma to have orange colour. OScar & Harry they are enjoying their time, and eating banana 😂 it's the most delicious banana in this region, especially "Ait Tamri". Greeting and love you all.

Oh yes!

A tagine, in order not to break and give a wonderful taste, must be placed in a bucket of water at night, and in the morning you extract it until it dries. After that, the carrot and a chopped onion must be cooked with a little oil until it burns. After the tagine is cleaned, it is ready for cooking.😹👍🌹
