The law itself is not hurting the tourism since it's an absolute complaint delict, only legal partner (legal husband and wive) and parent or children can filed a report. Not a chance foreign couples can get investigated in the first place. In fact it can deter mob law enforcement in more traditional remote places. The law itself is a product of democratic process, through democratic legislation, and more likely than not will be contested in constitutional court by the peoples and NGO alike in 3 years ahead just like every other law in Indonesia before it's enacment. But yes, the smearing hoax campaign by media and competitors can possibly hurting the tourism. If junta led country and strict socialist visited by tons of peoples from the so called "democratic" world, why indonesian should worried. Indonesian should stick to their choice of democracy, and keep in the track of democratic process to solve whatever their dissents and arguments.
