There's no shortage of places to grab a donut in the morning. But fewer are doing it the old-fashioned way, made fresh every day from scratch. Nicola’s Donuts on Busch Boulevard in Tampa is one of the few shops left that still doing just that. Nicola’s has been making their donuts fresh from scratch every morning since 1982. Bakers start the night before, around 10 p.m., gtting the dough ready for proofing. Nicola comes in the morning to finish the fancy, custom donut creations.
