I was fortunate to see Tammy Wynette in the 1990's at The Sheffield City Hall when she toured the UK and i was surprised how strong her voice was it had a lot of power. During the last song Tammy walked down the steps from the stage and started to walk towards the audience, she then walked along the rows of people shaking their hands while she sang it was amazing, i had never experienced an artist who did this before and I have always remembered it because it was so personal what she did.

This is one of the greatest Country songs of all time. It was written by two of Nashville's most renowned songwriters, Bobby Braddock and Curly Putman. However, it is the masterful touch of Tammy Wynette, sung as only she can sing it, that has made D-I-V-O-R-C-E one of the most memorable songs of all time. We love you Tammy, but we know you are singing in a far better place.

I have to agree but not completely because it wasn't rockstar that made her. It was her being famous is what made her but, she has an amazing singing talent that made her. Now on the other hand I do agree that rockstar should bring back older songs to this generation so they can hear how good the songs were way back when. That's all I have to say.

I remember my Momma playing Tammy Wynette records every Saturday morning while she and us kids would clean the house. She'd sing to us and dance with us. God I cherish those memories. I still have those records. I still play them and yes I still clean my house every Saturday morning. Thank you Tammy, Thank you Momma for a wonderful childhood.

Tammy's live singing is just spot on - and so unlike a good many of the "singers" today, who do not sing "live." I came within a few feet of her back in 1987 (I was an airline employee) and she was absolutely beautiful - her pretty blonde hair went down her back to her waist and shined against her shimmering outfit. I was fairly young at the time, and I recall thinking, "This is what a star looks like!" Bless her heart and talents for always!
