    great video, love these old Tamiya kits. As new to the hobby it costs alot (atleast for me) to get started with airbrush, compressor, paints and all the other stuff. So these old kits are awesum to get started without breaking the bank. Also its great to get practice painting on.

    What's this? A model review/build that does not include a 10 minute rant about a model manufacturer/another reviewer/the modelling community in general/the nasty comments that upset the person so much that they flounce away from video making for 6 months? You just gained a sub sir. It is so nice to find a modelling channel unsullied by politics and drama.

    Thank you, and thanks for the sub too 👍🏻. I'm too old for all that, I need to keep all my energy for crawling about on the floor looking for lost parts 😜. You obviously haven't watched my Bronco Bofors build, I wasn't completely sanguine about that manufacturers effort 😱Cheers

    +Halidon Haha, I will work through your other vids. I came to this one first as I'm tempted to pick up a Jpanther. Cheers

    You're as old school as I am. None of those "first world problems" like "oh, it's not a slide molded one piece barrel" or even better a metal barrel and so on. And you handle a vacuum formed building kit ("Mariya Oktyabrskaya") without nagging about the amount of work that's needed. We're about the same age I guess with a very similar history on what we built. Only that my last break was only seven years long. Good to see you back on the hobby, mate! :D

    +Non-Prolific 1/35th Scale Model Builder Thanks Jens, having been away from the hobby for so many years, It feels to me like this is the golden age of modeling, so many kit choices and after market parts, I can't see that theirs too much to whinge about :). I've literally just finished watching all of your videos, WOW!!! some people build kits, some people paint, but you my friend are a true MODELER!!!!! I am blown away by your skills :)

    +Sgt Bones Thanks for the feedback, very much appreciated. I want to replicate the figures as close as possible to those in the picture so the next vid will show a fair bit of my next attempts at sculpting, ultimately I I would love to be able to sculpt complete figures from scratch....one day maybe :)

    The gun cleaning rod tube was moved to the rear deck on late model jagdpanthers....just over the exhausts on the rear deck. Nice video...

    Thanks, you are spot on, I've seen a few pictures of the JP with the cleaning rod bin on the rear deck, but in this dio I was just looking to replicate the picture of the tank and crew, and its just my best guess that the long stick running along the left hand side of the upper hull is a cleaning rod, too late now anyway as its all done :)

    The nice thing about Tamiya is if you want, they adapt to aftermarket tracks like Friulmodel real well. Also, Tamiya does make an aftermarket set of grills for the engine vents. I have them for both my Panther ausf G (could use them on a JgdPz) and a Tiger. Cheers H...nice video sir...

    Man I 'lost' a turret piece from a Lancaster I was building. Contacted airfix for a replacement - they wanted a fortune but was willing to pay as part couldn't be rebuilt with my skills. One day I was vacuuming and I found it near the front door - about 15m from where I originally lost it. Far out

  • @HalidonDioramas

    @HalidonDioramas

    5 жыл бұрын

    Yeah, the one I actually built back then was motorised and I don't think they even make a motorised version of the Jagdpanther any longer, not sure how much different the new tooling would have made it, you know the old saying, if you've seen one Jagdpanther you've seen them all :)

    I hate revell glue. Buy tamiya extra thin glue. It comes with submerged brush, you can control the amount, brush doesnt dry, no need to burn the needle. It's so much better.

  • @HalidonDioramas

    @HalidonDioramas

    7 жыл бұрын

    2amberror I chop and change depending on what I want it to do, sometimes you need the longer drying time of Revell glue, just depends what's being stuck together 😄
