Imagine, the girls around town assemble
The traveler’s son they come askin’
Where he came from
‘Cause they’ve watched him
Washing his face near the pond
A curious boy, and they wonder
Where he came from
He says:
“I, I have seen the world’s most beautiful places,
still I feel as If I’m a walking machine
Watching it all through a screen,
there ain’t nothing in between
To me, this might as well not be real”
Imagine, the girls take him up on a hillI
It’s an indigo night, there’s a chill
The boy is confused but he’s still
As they gather around him
So many of them, they all sing
‘bout the pleasures of life
And he cries:
„Why can’t I sing along with some feeling, or some meaning?
It feels like I’ve always been blind
I don’t know why you girls are so kind
for there are so many in line
whose lives aren’t as lost as mine”
Now something happened there
The smell of the grass, or maybe the air
There was no more despair
Just something about that night
Maybe the girls, they lit some light, and made everything right
‘Cause he’s never been
more alive

Im sending this song to many people, but they seem not to apreciate it, really. They say things like “ yeah he’s nice” or “ not bad” and im like: wtf?
I watched him LIVE yesterday in Ankara. He was like an angel singing. No intonation errors, no cracky vocals. Just perfect. He sings his songs eyes always closed. He respects the songs and his art. His team had such a great harmony with him too. The whole night gave me goosebumps. Amir is an amazing artist. Hope he becomes more and more popular.

Yeah. Tamino has already explained it. He said the song has its own personality to expressing it in a video that tells an ordinary story. These are just images of Egypt to support the song.
"I have seen the world's most beautiful places, still I feel as if I'm a walking machine." That lyric fit me especially hard. I set a goal, to stay alive, only for the purpose of beauty. Beauty, art in every aspect, form, is the only real reason for me to stay. The feeling of missing something, something so beautiful that it inspires me. And in that you can count literally everything. You can count your family as beauty, the tree full of red leaves, the random girl who gave you a smile, a stranger's baby waving and just being cute, a new poet to read. And even if you are satisfied, you remember how it doesn't matter. Everything i saw was seen my millions, maybe billions of people. I won't have the time to spend my time with this, my sole purpose will be money, doing work I will hate passionately. Maybe, maybe, I'm just too stupid and pessimistic, I just need to find a fulfilling reason.
@moonsaer
2 жыл бұрын
I feel the same, maybe ur right and it is pesesmistic, I see no objective meaning in life. But it doesnt mean I hate life, infact sometimes I feel I live a richer life than most who just work, work and die. I "try" to enjoy every second of my life including the painful parts if that makes sense. This can be a fullfilling life purpose in and of it self no? Idk im just rambling
@corinnae.7877

@@moonsaer There is nihilism, both positive and negative. The negative one is like "every goal I achieved is meaningless, people before reached and a people after me will reach that. The ideology focuses that everything we do is meaningless, all we did will die with us, while we alive we aren't special. In the positive way you can live your life your way. No one cares, also your body of work dies within you. I just graduated school and will go to an undergraduate college. I have to work and go to school there. The thought is frightening. You set your purpose in your own happiness, despite the nature tries to destroy you. I feel empty. At school I at least had a goal, to wake up, leave the house and sit there for hours. I'm not productive and every joy I had turns me unsatisfied.

@@moonsaer Our main reason as a species like every animal is to reproduce. That's about it tbh. In a nature side of view. In a human type of way, it's to work. You can only survive via money, since the world evolves around it. You need to work to live a decent life atleast. Everything we do, like hobbys is really to entertain ourselves, give "alleged" purpose to our life. Why are there more artistic people and more logical people? Artists hide, express in their work. They imagine, dream about more. Logical ones are more pessimistic, they follow set patterns. You are born with it, and your environment really sets in. Like anxiety was the reason I got into art, it was an escape. Now depression takes everything for me. I can go in much greater detail, but my language barrier and the fact I have to write it, also laziness is a reason to cut it short.

This song makes me feel as if i can breathe underwater
The lyrics, the instrumentation, his voice and intonation, the photography and sentiment of this song are sublime......what a treat for the ears and eyes. Tamino's masterpiece!
Sınav senemde buldum bu şarkıyı. İlk başta normal gelmişti nakarat kısmını dinleyene kadar. O kadar hoşuma gitti ki defalarca dinledim. Her ders çalışırken arkasında bunu açıyordum. Şu an üniversitedeyim ve bana sınav senemi hatırlatıyor.

“I imagine a lot of things; men, women… the disconnect between people. As you can see, many people are totally disconnected from reality and the world, with social networks. I’m guilty myself. That was one of the inspirations. When I wrote the song, I talked about a ‘screen,’ for example, but I didn’t necessarily think of iPhones, but after thinking about it, I tell myself that I’m talking about that. But I also talk about love, the love of the family, but also the love outside of this circle. From the moment you receive the love of a foreigner. From there your life sparkles, it really begins. The girls in the song don’t sexually appeal to the boy, perhaps a bit, but that’s not what it’s about, it’s that he begins to believe in life through this feeling.” -Tamino

Whenever I listen to his songs I feel something special something really deep , like I've found the missing part in me , like I can breathe with his words , I can't exactly explain how but tamino makes me feel in a way really different the way he pronounce his words the way he moves every part of his body . As an Arab the way he use arab music with English lyrics is complete beautiful

tamino beni bulmadan önce gerçekten en iyi sesleri duyduğumu düşünürdüm.beni tamamen afallattı.sesine tüm duyguları nasıl işlemişse bunu ustalıkla kendi kaleme aldığı şarkılarında kullanıyor.bir şarkısında saf acıyı diğerinde aşkı özümsüyorum.tüm bu her şeyiyle beni kendine bağlayan sanatçı.
Whenever I hear this song, it feels like I have been hearing this tune, this music from like my childhood, it feels tremendously connected to me and my soul!
Just discovered the song,it’s almost religious , the melody feels like your world is collapsing and you are watching it falling, you want to be sad but you are blocking these feelings to stand up back on your feet
"This might as well not be real" This line always hits different.
It feels like traveling through time. How is it that this song makes me feel so powerful while bringing my emotions to the fore..

I'm one of the lucky people who knows the existence of this masterpiece. The way the music goes by, his voice, the lyrics... It's a mix that makes me travel to another dimension, it is from another world. I'm so glad that 2020 gave me the opportunity to meet this incredible music.
This is the most beautiful song I've ever listened to. I never cease to admire this timbre and these glissandos in every song.
You can't share this song with someone who doesn't matter. While I was in Paris, last November, I met a man unexpectedly-- somehow we clicked although neither of us wanted a relationship. The night before I left, we listened to music together, and at some point in his playlist, this song came up. This song... I don't think I have to tell you about this song. After a few weeks of me being away, life happened and he just stopped texting-- although I would have liked to get to know him more, beyond the intensity, I don't resent him for it because I think I understand. But I resent him for this song. No matter how many times I'll listen to it, it'll never be mine only. It will always remind me of someone who was supposed to be just a random guy, but who made me feel everything at once, I don't even know why. And of him just slipping away, as things do. This song is what makes it painful, when it shouldn't be... The fact that the person who made me hear this song for the first time was just passing through in my life, it's not right. I just want to forget his face. I hope I'll live with the memory without feeling grief forever, because it's supposed to mean nothing to me. It was just supposed to be a random encounter. Man, you won't ever read this but thank you, still. F*ck you. Thank you. Songs like this one make encounters become true. You can't share this song with someone who doesn't matter... Please share it with someone you love.
Most beautiful voice ever.
Above all - above all the beauty that it's blessed with, this song also caries some ancient, profound, unexplainable sincerity which breaks out from every single beat; it's there, and it hurts, and it cuts me very deep.
Don't think I've ever heard such a beautiful song. Makes me feel like I'm in a different world, with no worries or anything bad. Just a peaceful night with a bit of breeze.
Its been over three years and this song still hits the same.
if there was a noble prize for a song, this song would probably be on top.
