It's really amazing to see how much control of his guitar effects KP has (the whole band too actually), even though it just sounds like a complete melodic-psychadelic mess. Nowadays Tame Impala is just one of the best live acts you can witness.

I started listening to Innerspeaker in 2012, and this song still gives me the chills to this day. I saw Tame Impala live right after Lonerism dropped, and it was easily the best performance I've ever seen. Watching Kevin Parker manage his voice, instrument, and his 40+ effects (he's controlling the majority of effects, while everyone is just playing along with him if I remember correctly) is honestly just incredible. It's hard enough staying composed while singing and playing a single instrument. He's truly inspiring, and he gives me a lot of hope that instrumental music will find new life in the electronic era. As much as I can appreciate that he has to grow with his music, I really miss what he was doing with Innerspeaker and Lonerism. My hope is that those albums push more artists to create 60's/70's inspired music in the coming years.

What kind of effects is Dominic using to get the tone at 1:08?

It sounds like overdrive with the gain up and a pitch shifter going up two octaves possibly mixed halfway. Maybe a little bit of vibrato at a slower rate, but I can’t tell.

I think it's a combination of effects delay + modulations or patch programmable from gt-100, I , he uses mar carbon copy, boss re-20 space echo, boss gt-100 multi effect. dd20 boss and more

Coke I have the carbon copy going with a pulsar tremolo and it sounds like the intro but the repeats aren’t as crisp. I don’t know how he’s playing that with out muting after he strums to get those repeats lol.
