Hello sailors! I know I should have posted this like a year ago, but there were still some kinks I wanted to work out before presenting my findings to you all! Let me know if you have any questions! ccargillmusic@gmail.com

snare sounds EXACTLY like the original! really great job man you really nailed it
that ride cymbal sounds awesome! so sizzely when used as a crash! love it!
Wow man it sounds just like the records! I posted a bunch of Tame Impala drum covers 5/6 years ago and never got anywhere near as close to the magic that you just did. Bravo!
That’s an absolutely lovely studio space. Nice vid!

For real, I need the low down on that. @austin, is this your living room, guest house or something? tour would be sick
Im very very new to drums and drumming so this was genuinely really interesting to me, especially as it was the drums from Lonerism and Innerspeaker that first got me thinking about learning to play
Amazing drum sound! Would love to hear more of your own music as well.

THIS IS SO HELPFUL
Hey man! Really appreciate your time and effort to make a video like this. I'm from Brasil, I bought a dbx165a in a oportunity for about 1000$ (5500R$) calibrated and recaps done... I dont even have the microphones yet 😅 hope you post more about mix and processing for us too! Thx ❤

It will be greate to see post processing chain. Some mixing stuff. Sounds really good!
love this tutorial man👌
Ive been putting the snare head on my snare to get that sound for about a year now. My one recommendation is to cut it out so you get them nice rim shots. And a bottom snare mic sounds sic af as-well
Hell yeah, Brother.
the ride sounds nice, for the snare I like a mix of a simple sheet of DinA4 paper or a drum tortilla, according to taste, keep on rockin! 🤘
Hope to see this for InnerSpeaker, I love that album and I love its drums

what signal goes into the dbx?
Great sound! Can you explain what kind of plugins you use? I know one is MFlanger. Curious about the setting you use on that. What kind of 22” k Constantinople is that? Renaissance?
@AustinMarshmallows
9 ай бұрын
Medium thin low. And I just have the flanger width at 180 degrees, cut off some lows and highs with the two knobs
I didn't see the Shure SE-30, is it possible to do without it?
what was placed on the snare?
What mic are you using on the left underside of the kit? I assume the snare mic is a sm57 by the look of it?
Maaaan how do you tune the Tom’s like this?
what mic goes into the DBX? all of them or just the wurst mic?
And the cloud lifter?
What series model K Constantinople is it? Sounds like the renaissance maybe?
Hey man how are those Toms tuned I've been trying to get that sort of sound for my Toms but I'm having trouble with it
Is is a 22” medium thin low?
Dude you should listen to this band Jons you’d love them
I'm new to this drum recording. (guitar player mainly) is the drum snake taking all four inputs and connecting into the compressor as one? or each mic connected separately to the compressor? sry for the dumb question. I use a bae 1073 as a preamp for my other instruments. I was looking at buying the undertone audio mpdi4 for drums. what do you think? are you using just the compressor for the drums and just preamp from your audio interface?
For the phaser, are you just putting that over the drum bus? And what type of phaser is it?
@AustinMarshmallows
9 ай бұрын
MFlanger ! I have a video on it
What did you place on the snare??
do you know how to get the flanger effect on the drums
What cymbal is that hit hats?
ay man how much would you charge for a pack with those sounds?
any mufflin in the kick?
Interesting. But one question please. The 4 mics are going into the DBX all at once? Thanks ✌🏼
