Wow this is my favorite video of yours because it just shows you enjoying yourselves in a natural way instead of talking over it.
Thank You....This video was better than any video I have watched about living in a Costa Rica town or city....Really showed the food and shopping experience close up and not just a video of a store front
As usual Great Job!

If you like being 'the Tourist' , Tamarindo is the place . it is very clean and pretty , great weather . too Commercial for my tastes . Maybe a great place for a Honeymoon or Older Couples who want to relax , shop and dine . Boating Tours , surfing .

@VagabondAwake
2 ะถัะป ะฑาฑััะฝ
No, we headed north into Nicaragua after Tamarindo. I have been all the way down in the Peninsula before but I am just not feeling Costa Rica anymore. It is just too Americanized for my taste. I like more foreign places. No offense intended. Anywhere that has been the focus of international attention for so long will slowly watch its culture become homogenized. I travel to experience differences. I find chic, hip culture in Costa Rica now on the Peninsula. I prefer more Costa Rican places like San Jose and Quepos. But I totally understand many people prefer being in the more internationalized places. Travel is more educational for me now, and I just don't get much of that in Costa Rica.
It is expensive, and food is a hassle. But, much less dicey than Mexico. Having said that, I miss Mexico, and the food is 50x as good in mex.

Glad to see you traveling around Central America. Iโve heard good things about Costa Rica. Iโve been told Italianโs and Greekโs also settled in Costa Rica for the Sponge industry back in the day. Have you been to Jaco a beach town on the Pacific Coast, quite a few retired expats live there. Hi Dan and Qiang. Costa Rica is one of only five countries listed as open for travel. Did you have to be tested once there and, secondly, is there a city there similar in cost of living to the SE Asian countries such as vietnam, philippines?
@VagabondAwake
2 ะถัะป ะฑาฑััะฝ
I would say no. We can easily live on $1000 to $1200 a month in Vietnam or Philippines, but it would be a struggle in Costa Rica, and would not be as fun.
Thanks guys. Good work. The city seems similar to many resort towns in the US and just as expensive. I want to leave the US, not travel abroad to re-create it. My guess is that no way do locals pay that much to live there.

3:53 so you're trying to live on one of the most expensive places of Costa Rica but once you're living there you start complaining about the prices ๐ค genius Just as an advice next time try to spend at least some days in the place to meet the prices then decide if your budget is enough to be able to live there, I mean is just common sense 3:57 That's not true that Tamarindo is double the price of La Fortuna, La Fortuna is also a very touristic place so prices are kind of similar, if you want to live cheaper in Costa Rica you can live in a normal town where most costarican lives but if you prefer a place where most tourists are is normal the prices are going to be high and I don't think this only applies for Costa Rica...
