One of our 1st Maori action + Maori songs aunty Julie O, Mrs Mendoza 3x week after school we meet all be taught to sing + learn Maori actions our , practice in old building, Ist where movies use to be shown after a time it was a skating rink few shops next to where all us Maori + pakeha kids all ways turn U, next to old hall was Lex Thorns shop, Arkits Asian fruit,veg shop, next door Proles fish + chip shop, Aunty Julie + Mrs Mendoza taught all of us,put their own time every week to teach us I still remember lot names of the many ages many were also from different schools,Oraka heights,Cambridge Street,Putaruru west.
