    Thank you for a wonderful demonstration. Your playing allowed each drum to speak clearly, and be shown/heard in perfect contrast to the other drums and cymbals. Thank you for showing the various tuning ranges as well! I appreciated your use of dynamics and various grooves. Thanks again from North Carolina!

    Sounds great for the price ,i just get it a few weeks ago and it works very cool, just put a good drumheads on it, and don't worry about the ride cymbal holder the thing can resist a 22" ride without any problem and it looks very cool just like a old school Mustang. and the most important thing it's very portable for the working drummer

    Excellent, helpful and inspiring demo. Watched it many times already. Thank you very much. Considering to purchase this kit to share with my now 9-year old daughter. We also looked at the Tama Imperial Star but the Club Jam is likely to prevail due to its sound/size/looks and the possibility to choose slightly better suiting hardware and cymbals. We may slightly exceed our budget but reckon that the Tama classic pedal/stands and Zildjian L80 low-volume kit (13" hi-hat + 18" crash ride) will prove to be worth it. If not for our neighbours than surely for my daughter's ears... Too bad the Aquarian SuperPads are quite hard to find and expensive in Europe. But first things first. Thanks again.

    Check out the Remo Silent Strokes, they're a more budget oriented option than the Aquarian Superpads but are still quite good. I know Thomann sells them, and they ship to a lot of european countries. Good luck for your daughter!

    I have played a lot of drums over the last 18 years or so, and I ended up with a Silverstar Metro jam very similar to this kit. The 16" bass drum is perhaps the best I have ever heard and played. The toms are good too - but that bass drum is why you should get a set of small Tama with Silverstar shells. I don't about this kit, but the Metrojam's hardware is absolutely perfect.

    Regardless of drum size, acoustic kits are always going to be loud. Try a set of mesh drum heads and 'quiet' cymbals, like Zildjian L80s. I've been practicing at home with this set up for over two years and it's attracted no comments from neighbours. Family tell me it's a lot easier to live too.

  • @DrumsBonedo

    @DrumsBonedo

    6 жыл бұрын

    I take the same ratios between batter and resonant heads of the medium tuning, and turn all the rods on all skins evenly and in small revs upwards. Only the snare resonant head is always tight. The resonating heads of bass drum and toms are a bit higher than the batter skins. It takes many hours of practice and a good ear to learn how to tune a drumset. But that's worth it! :-)
