Played WoWs since 2015. CVs had me on the edge since rework and now Subs did the final tip. Just cant bring myself to start it anymore. This game was really good once. And the good stuff is still there but WG buried it under a pile of insufferable asscancer.

When the sub shotguns you, press space to jump over the torps. Skill issue.

The sub damage saturation is the worst. I hate when I land like six 406mm high explosive shells on a sub and it just takes it on the chin when that sub should've cracked in half

Even the most modern sub of any navy these days woulda simply cease to exist if 1 much less six 16 inch HE shells hit it at once but somehow weegee subs eat it better than most dds do

Yeah a subs buoyancy changes rapidly with any kind of flooding or hull compromise. You can find better sub gameplay in games from the 00s that sold on CD in store shelves. The balance of the game is less important than sales. What a great move for the franchise. Pushing it to the limit

The Uboats themselves sank many ships with 88mm FlaK adaptations for naval use. A battleship shell would send it to the bottom without much regard to deflection. Even splinters would sink or render the submersible craft unable to maintain its operational status. Submarines in this game should be abstracted as something else. Or a submarine game is being developed very slowly and out of date. The spreadsheet value changes arent going to ever resolve CV or Sub balancing and they are probably hoping no one catches on . Who knows but it's sad to see the game transform into a chore. Everything that made the game successful has been left as an afterthought. Battleship mains were good anchors for a point. Slow but they can make a decisive move in one barrage of the primaries. The cruisers and destroyers were fine as well. Refining those 3 formed a nice triangular balance in the game and was a lot of fun. Happy players = fun game and excitement. WG could just level with the customers. The game would be worth spending money on if they would release a remastered or classic version without the paid crates. Just have normal sales. Whoever they consulted for marketing is not understanding that new players don't want the game to play like a mobile game ported to PC.

PotatoQuality made a good video talking about it but to paraphrase, WG is heading in a mobile game format because mobile games rake in some of the largest profits in the gaming industry. You can see clearly with each event that passes where there are layered currencies designed to trick you into forgetting you're spending real money. Game design doesn't matter when you can release broken overpowered content that people will grab at with their wallets

Wargaming created a ship type that is difficult to be detected and countered by surface ships but can weaken the concealment value of destroyers and deva strike large ships. Interestingly, the most effective method of anti-submarines is submarine civil war, but most submarines prefer to destroy heavy surface ships for the number in the upper right corner, that is why submarines are hated by many people just like aircraft carriers.

Really? In co-op I can't even ping a submerged red sub let alone damage it. If I'm diving deeper and really close it lands maybe one time in 10. And yes, I realise this is a skill issue, of which I have 36% (T6+); but sub vs sub seems an unlikely most effective method.

Spreadsheet says it is not a problem and that you are having fun. I was watching Asmongold today dumping on devs who focus on spreadsheets instead of actually playing and doing things that make the game fun to play. His video was about DIV, but could just as easily be applied to WoWS

Wait just until they will drop subs with planes. I-400, Ettore Fieramosca, M-2 and ofc Surcouf. Even Zee germans had something going on with the type XI boats.

I'm so thankful to Flamuu for always making sure to obliterate any feelings of nostalgia trying to get me to reinstall this game.

What's even more funny, is that the sub that finished top belongs to a clan called 'GSPOT' lmao

Here's an idea for WG how about for one season for randoms they give the option for no CV's and no Sub's and see how the spreadsheet looks afterwards... on if we want CV's and Subs in game...

I'll never forget watching the Wargaming live stream when they said shotgunning doesn't happen, as the ship they were playing got shotgunned.

I was in a ranked game were the enemy gato just press W and shotgun the shit out of our 3 bbs, nothing to warn, nothing to do we just insta loss and that sub did 3k xp.

Flamu, US subs have a consumable that boosts their Dive Plane speed. Regardless i too am surprised how quickly he dove away from those shells, not sure if he actually used it or not.

i remember when this game was so good ............. sad what its become.

I got shot-gunned twice in the one game in the Tulsa, managed to dodge "some" on the first attempt nose on, 15 secs later a new batch came from 90 degrees and ended me, I couldn't believe how fast the Balao was, I was still in the maneuver from evading the first assassination attempt, the worst thing was I had Radar on the whole time and still had no idea where he was, yet he was spotting me the whole time.

They made subs more op then real life

It's still my favorite thing to do with the non-homing torps. Just rock up on someone at periscope depth and put a spread into their broadside - for extra lulz, let them detect you before you dive so they know what's about to happen. The salt is epic.

now now, they didnt say it wasnt possible, they just said it isnt likely because it "puts the sub in a very exposed position" despite it being able to crash dive faster than an Me262

This is how most of my matches went before I uninstalled. Like most toxic relationships, no more anger = no more caring.

There are Millions of players on NA server, so you getting shot gunned by a Submarine every match is very Rare! flamuBS xD

Yeah, I'm never coming back to this game, as if the CVs weren't enough before.

Its like mario kart when your on the third lap and there's green shells bouncing everywhere and everyone behind you have red shells loaded and you then hit that banana skin . (obviously though Mario kart is real fun)

According to the spreadsheet, everyone who got shotgunned had a fun abd engaging time.

Had a game with this + CV, endresult was that I closed the game and uninstalled. Have not played since. Started playing in closed beta....

I'm just waiting on the day that they give subs a torp that does infinite damage or some shit might as well given that they never intended for subs to be balanced in the first place.

Enjoyed the video more because I enjoyed watching you laugh at the stupidity of it all rather than appreciation for gameplay from anyone else on your team or red. Shotgunning not a thing Flamu - Ahskance would tell you that the submarine players were just really good at "reading the turn". #justdodge. Frankly when BG3 launches on 3rd August I will join the army of people who are now finding something else to do with their time.

I averaged 60% WR over 10k games and never in my life since 2016 have i felt so helpless after being shotgunned in my DD by subs. I cant push caps with friendly BBs anymore so just kite until its clear and its almost impossible to gain damage if theres a sub between me and the enemy team. Went from 1-200k damage games to 10-30k when there is a sub at my caps.

WTF i have just played a game in the kleber and the firing range is 1km short of the henry iv???? ive relogged in and its still showing 18.9km and I've had a few games and i can fire to nearly 19KM!!!!! hahaha WG you have broken the kleber thank the maker its so much fun from this range hahaha ps i have taken screen shots if you want confirmation 😁

I'd almost accept shotgunning if subs actually had a weak point like all the other ships which have a citadel or how destroyers can't submerge whenever they want. One shell should devstrike a sub its just stupid.

This is why I dont give WG a penny anymore, and refuse to do random battles. Its so boring... Had some fun during the asymmetric battles, but they had to remove that in 12.6 of course.

While Flamu is a much better play than I (I am not even close), I think his play style makes him particularly susceptible to getting shotgunned.

Can we take the League of Legends approach and REPORT anyone for Playing Poorly or Bad Manners for playing Subs and Carriers? Maybe Wargaming will pull their head so far up their own butt that it rights itself?

The report button in WoWs is merely a karma system. WG couldn't care less, it's already a miracle when they manually mute someone.

I hate subs too, on the other hand I have watched you in DD's, Cruisers, and BB's get 5, 6, and 7 kill krakens time and time again, when a bad player plays a ship, like the subs on your team, they suck, when a good player plays a ship, like the Balao on the red team, they get some kills too. A really good player can kill even you my friend, in a dd, a sub or a bb.
