Talking Watches With Alfredo Paramico
Ғылым және технология
There is a small handful of vintage watch collectors in this world that can truly be called "market-makers." John Goldberger is one of them. Another is the 45-year-old, tan-skinned, silver-haired gentleman you are about to meet. Alfredo Paramico is a true insider, and has long been considered one of the top watch buyers on the planet. Remember that unique platinum Patek Philippe Bulletin Chronometer that sold for $3,992,858 in November of 2012? You know, the watch that actually beat the Eric Clapton owned platinum 2499 in the same sale? Yes, Alfredo bought that. A 1518 in steel? He's owned one of those, too. This is your chance to go inside the collection of a true connoisseur. This is Talking Watches with Alfredo Paramico. For the full story, go to www.hodinkee.com/blog/talking-...

he's on TRT
I like how he says he's bought on eBay. That's my source for vintage watches.
I love that he downplays his collection so much... When he says stuff like "not so many" he really means that a die-hard watch collector would kill to touch one xD
This feels like one of the most important collections ever. He loves vintage which is so evident and he likes to be unique. I love this.
That's why Italy is regarded as the birthplace of style. You don't even need to listen to him talk about his passion of collecting watches and you get the sense that this man has taste. Just make a quick comparison of what they are wearing, which is the exact same thing: V neck and a shirt. One looks like a grandad... and the other one is Alfredo Paramico.
It's one thing to be rich. Another to collect only understated and elegant things. There are some mega expensive pieces here but none appears flashy and everything looks like he'd casually wear them without fuss. No massive gold and diamond pieces, just an eye for aesthetics, proportions & historical importance.
Alfredo is such a gentleman who apparently know how to spend money on watches unlike some guys from the word of sport or music (for example). No diamonds, no fancy (kitschy) Hublot, Franch Muller, Rolex and other posing brands. This is probably the best collection ive ever seen and i guess its just a 10% of his collection.

@@sirjohnsnowflakejr.3736 Rolex is the main 'posing' brand. I like Rolex, but they are. People who come into money, don't really know much about watches, but want people to think they do, they'll buy a Rolex. I'm not knocking Rolex here, they make great watches, but that is the downside of being so popular. I doubt Rolex see it as a downside.
@TomasLonga

Fully agree with you. Rolex is the "entry level" into serious watches and for most of us, it was the first serious watch. From there are only two roads. One to PP, VC, JLC, ALS and AP or the other way to Richard Mille, Hublot and other travesty brands.

Still my all time favorite watch video!!
Alfredo's collection is really a cut above - maybe my favorite Talking Watches segment
One of the finest talking watches to date; such a wealth of knowledge and a collection that is well considered and well conceived. Exceptional production quality too
I just love this show... every time its different! Just watched a whole century of Patek collection and now I can see an awesome collection of Longines, which I really love my selfe
Please do an updated video of this guy! He's so interesting, and what an incredible beautiful collection!!!! Also the watch he's been dreaming of exists and was found! He was right!

I need more of these 'Talking Watches' videos because the whole series is just great and really helps young men, like me,to find the correct path into wristwatch collecting...And Mr.Paramico's collection is probably the best one I have ever seen...I take my hat off ;)
Nice trio of ref 570s. John Goldberger also had the stainless one when they talked with him.
He's so happy about his stuff. Incredibly inspiring.
Time for part 2 ;) This was a great chat with even greater watches
Haven't seen the video yet, and already clicked the like button!
Literally look like such an idiot in my pink v-neck sweater I bought after watching this video.....mine is Marino wool vs. Alfredo's cashmere. He probably wouldn't even use my pink rag to dry his car after a wash.

Loving these 'talking watches', really well done. Keep em coming!
It's amazing when you see these grail collections. The watches are in such beautiful condition they look like they could be contemporary. It shows how cyclical style is and how timeless (no pun intended) all the current models are.
This is what I love about the world of watches. This dude is chasing a story a myth of a patek. People in this community all know and love story telling. That connects all of us
Whenever I know about this type of collectors I can't stop telling myself "imagine his car!...his house!!"
Another great talking watches video. Keep them coming!
I've just started collecting watches. These videos are really terrific.Very educational .Very nicely made. A real pleasure to watch!
A beautiful and thoughtful collection. This man knows his stuff.
What an amazing collection. Pure class.
Clymer just cannot stop himself from winding other people's watches, quite often rare very delicate pieces. If he tried that with one of my vintage pieces he would have his knuckles rapped.
One of the best episodes ever.
Amazing taste. I swooned at nearly every one. Those Pateks blow my mind. What a classy european king of a man with the money and passion to see his collection take shape.
I love these videos. There is some amazing story's to be heard.
I think that the term is.. De-lischiousz
wonderful taste. the simplicity, elegance, timelessness and craftsmanship. lovely mate.
Outstanding! The epitome of class.
Goals , motivation to work even harder... what a collection!
6:37 love that he is completely aware of the amazing pieces he owns, but still stays humble.

Over all, the nicest watch collection I have seen.

NEVER stop making the talking watches series.
Imagine just sitting next to this guy and listening to him talk about all the watches in his collection and the stories behind them for a few hours. Delicious.
That Freccero is really nice....
Wow! Most beautiful collection I've seen!
IWC never fails to deliver - definitely my favourite brand as a new collector... I want that early Portuguese! :P
Absolutely stunning collection :-) Thanks for showing it :-) :-)
Thanks for all these great vids. I love this stuff!!
Classy guy. Amazing collection.
My favourite is the Breguet 'CEV'.
Now here is a PROPER watch collector. Pure class!
Talk about rarefied collecting!
What an outstanding collection ...
Longines.......excellent brand. Trouble free and extremely accurate
Great interview. Enjoy his knowledge and history of his collections. Was fascinating and interesting to hear him talk about his timepieces. Would love to hear more of his collections if possible.
An Extremely Impressive Collection 🙌🏻
Great to see Longine getting some love!
This guest exudes 'class' - as does his collection. No baseball cap worn backwards, no tattoos, no slang language, no posturing, no bling, classy dress-sense. Worth emulating. That's how money converts well to private acquisition.

Thats the most exquisite collection I have ever seen
Those Calatravas are absolutely gorgeous

Wow those Patek's , stunning !!!!!
What an incredible collection
Absolutely amazing video.love it.love watch collecting.horology heaven!!😃
Beautiful collection and mostly vintage. Interesting he had no Rolex's. The Patek's were a feast for the eyes. Loving the show.
Finally a wonderful collection where you don’t see only Nautilus, Daytona or Royal Oak 🥳🥳🥳
this shows us the importance of being dedicated to your passions, persistent and very rich
Besides the amazing watch collection, this man is sophisticatedly masculine and intelligent. It is great to see someone take-care of himself and despite his high profile career which has its own stressors. I would like for this gent to be my mentor
absolutely fantastic!
This is up there with Goldberger for the best video in the series. Nicely done.
This is the best watch channel!
Best collection on KZread
I love these videos with Benjamin Clymer talking watches with super collectors like Alfredo. I learned a ton from why each piece is so special. I would love to know if these pieces have needed any service or are they completely in original condition.
Nice Collection, love to see Breguet Chronos allong patek, great:)
