I hope Jon knows that he passes the ultimate “lawn mow test” because I used to bang that album so loud in my eyes to hear it over the tractor. What a great artist!

Lol I’m dumb
Interviews like this make you appreciate an artist more as a person and of course their music. Because of him being a famous country star I thought he was more fake but you can easily tell he genuinely cares about his fans, music and keeping things authentic and also putting out what’s on his mind and heart. I thoroughly enjoyed this interview start to finish
Jon seems like such a level headed down to earth guy, unlike most superstars of today. Kudos to him for being real!
He’s not wrong about “if it gets to radio, someone will hear it.” Man was “missing you crazy” so catchy to me but I couldn’t find it anywhere online. I looked for a month or so before I heard it again, this time with his name. I was a fan and went to a show he was playing with Justin Moore and Dustin lynch. He was handing out cards asking people to like his Facebook page so he could grow. It’s cool to see how far he’s come!

Me too I remember hearing "what I can't put down" and loving the style and couldn't find it til the video arrived on youtube.
Finding out that Jon was a fan of Blink and Green Day made me an even bigger fan lol. And not just a fan back then, he clearly still follows them as he was talking about watching Toms “Pursuit of Tone” documentary. So badass.
This is big for you, glad to see how far you've come
This is the future of the channel. You’re able to loosen up folks and allow them to be regular people working a job, and allow them to express themselves as such… great interview. Hope to see more long-form conversation/interaction with you and other artists in the future.
Thank you! I love Jon Pardi. This interview is as is it should be. Relaxed, long, throwing all sorts of thoughts around. Such a natural conversation. Makes me love you and Pardi a little more, cheers!
Grady this is DOPE and it's so cool to see how relaxed you are in these interviews compared to when you first started them on your channel!
I’m stoked for this interview! Glad you got the opportunity to interview Jon Pardi.
Jon Pardi is easily my favorite artist on the scene. I am a universal pass holder just to have seen Jon at Mardi Gras. Got to be right on the gate because the girl in front of me got arrested for under age drinking. Hopin he comes back down to Orlando soon!
The bar test, the windows down test, and the mowing test 😂😂😂 he put “it” into words!
Seen this guy live soooo many times, small bars, small venues, festivals and in concert. Kills it every time.
The wife and I saw him here in Dallas last month. It was an AMAZING concert. Lainey Wilson is our fave new artist and we want such great things for her! We liked Jon before but now we’re obsessed. We can’t get enough of his music. 👌🏼💪🏼😉
Thank you sir for the great work here. Jon Pardi is an artist I wanted to know more about his back story. You covered it with the great line of questioning. Outstanding work.
Love love love!!!!! I love that this feels so much more like a conversation btw friends than being an interview. I am so happy for you and proud of you and for you!!!! I think I love the 2 of you guys even more now!!! :) Congrats!
It’s crazy cool to know that Grady is at times able to talk to some country singers/interview. I just wonder how he’s able to do so.
I almost spit out my water, I was so shocked when he brought up Randall King! I think of Jon Pardi as big and famous, playing in many states where as Randall King is still growing but mainly playing in Texas. I love Randall King's music so much! I'll be seeing him in concert in a few weeks for the 4th time!

If anything, the move to tell him you included him in a video bashing modern country music was BRAVE 🤣Great interview!

Yeah that cracked me up. I meant it nicely!!
I truly hope that you get more recognition for the time that you put into these videos. I'm loving the new content and podcasts/interviews that your doing with people. The one with Country Central was great. I'll be praying for you 🙏
I will probably never pay attention to country radio ever again because of all the music that hurts my ears BUT I’m glad you cover the mainstream because I would never know that Jon, Midland, and other artists are releasing bangers!
Up all night is the best album. I love this man and I will listen to every thing this guy does
Seeing Jon Pardi in Dodge City July 30th. Love his music and how he plays true country music.
I really wanna listen to The DUI Song
Always loved Jon, and the way he talks just in the opening, really validates that he's a authentic country bloke to me Also pls upload to the pod so we can listen on the run 😅
This is a fun time. He's got a new fan now. What a cool dude. Diggin the foldable camping chair, country livin' indoors haha
😀 Great music starts somewhere, who knows where inspiration may come next time
This was so good! Thank you Grady! I absolutely love Jon and his neo-traditional style. I loved 90s country and he brings that back with an update. I have followed you since EW Radio! I always looked forward to your segments and remember the day you left. I’m glad to see you doing so well!
It was 2am in a McDonald’s parking lot I was 19 with my buddy and what I can’t put down came on our local country station and we just looked at each other and said this dude is awesome. And I’ve been a fan ever since
jon pardi music is awesome he another one of my favorite country artist he has inspired me to want to make my own style of country music
Love Jon Pardi from Australia!! hoping he will come back here ASAP! ❤
Best interview you've ever done, Grady. Really appreciate this video.
Just now really starting to appreciate ol' Jon boy's music... mostly because I don't listen to "country radio"....but glad I found him🤠🤠

Jon made me laugh so much! He's so funny!
Huge fan of Jon. Probably my favourite current artist.
I think getting Jon on here is a great way to make this channel grow
Damn, Jon Pardi's cool as hell! He was the first country show I ever saw, The Single Barrel in Lincoln NE, September 2014. This dude has come a long way since then, love to see it!
This interview was great! He was kind of shy and laid back in the beginning but towards the middle/end he was excited, energetic, and it sounded like you guys were best friends. Nice job!

I was gonna say that too! I was surprised how quiet he seemed at first but he got comfortable and talkative fast
This dude is cool as a fan, very good interview.
This was awesome!! LOVE Jon Pardi!
I just relate so much to Jon being a team roper and growing up in similar situations. We both grew up in country towns that were being somewhat enveloped by urban sprawl and very close to some major cities. Love that he has acreage and likes being able to work out on the land that's exactly kind of Life on striving for and grew up with. The NRCS professional in me makes me want to give him all this advice about how to graze his land now that he has planted most of it the grass and give him some Wildlife tips. Hell I want to know his handicap number for being a header. But he's absolutely right about someone hearing it I think college kids are quick to turn onto artist before the public and I remember specifically in college I was at a house party in 2015 or something like that what I can't put down came on and literally the whole basement just erupted in singing along with it it was a hell of a moment one of my favorite memories about the place and that album is just amazing. And let me tell you in Platteville Wisconsin that night you would have never guessed that song never broke the thirties on radio play. He was absolutely right someone will hear the song when it's on the radio. Lastly two gems of his that are my favs are deep cuts. Love You From Here and Over My Head. Hell I like them so much I wish you would re-release them cuz I think they could have some serious radio success
Great content Grady, I hope this experience brought you joy. I would love more long form interviews like this! The joe Rogan of country music!
Good looks boys. Would love to see more awesome interviews in the future! Fantastic stuff. 🙌
I loved this interview. I would like to see more!
Awesome interview. Love the real side of it.
Such a cool guy to listen to, you both :D
Wish he was playing in Dixon / Davis this summer instead of $300 floor tickets in Sacramento. Thanks for the interview Grady
I have both felt hats and straw hats. I wear the felts year round and straws in the summer
Well played Grady! great interview.
35:33 I literally just today made a DnD character with a fiddle for a weapon
OMG GRADY! Congratulations! this was an awesome interview
That was INCREDIBLE!
this is a great interview
Very good very good
Lol nice I’m not the only country boy (Texas Native) that loved Green Day, Blink 182, Dead Kennedys, Metallica, Motley Crue, etc but always have my country roots
omg awesome you got his interview!! YAY!
Fun video and loved Country Central & Grady Smith using our Peace Of Nash AirBnB to interview Jon Pardi!!!
How awesome for you ❤️
aint always the cowboy is NOT dead. its amazing
This NorCal gal loves his NorCal stories! Jon Pardi is the real country music deal!
Confusing “Lennon & McCartney” with “Lenin & McCarthy” was hilarious 😆
Fabulous interview!
Coolest video ever! Great work Grady!
Keep country alive,,,,
Great interview. I listened to Heartache Medication on my way to Harrisonburg the other day. Not a bad song on the whole thing.
Not my aunt and uncle living in Dixon and my mom’s family being there because my grandpa was air force at Travis AFB. Had no idea he was from CA.
OMG…he mentioned my Alma Mater, UC Davis! Woot!
This guy rules, lol. He just shouted out Tulsa Time by the legendary Don Williams. That's a boss in the eyes them boys down here on Bad Street Atlanta, GA . Come on down to Hazzard County when yer in Georgia and have a toke son. Respect. - Banger Slotwell Assistant Director, Bad Street Folk Art and Cultural Preservation Society and Chairperson of the Hazzard County Foundation for the Preservation of Southern Cultural Marxism and Postmodern Studies in Working Class Solidarity and Multicultural Unionism.
Excellent!
Yeah you definitely need to watch Road House man, it's epic
this is a really great interview! you totally thrive in a situation like this - keep it up! i would love it if you interviewed charley crockett or justin peter kinkel-schuster
Great interview keep up the great work man
John seems like a fun guy.
Love this man, i hope you can get more interviews with artists
Such a great description of California agriculture
Jon Pardi the movie
Longneck Way to Go with Midland and him is just fucking terrific!
It’s pretty dope that Parsi is a country artist but grew up on the likes of blink-182, Green Day, etc. Idk why, but I often forget that genre-based artists are music lovers first and foremost, and do genuinely love the medium, not just that one little pocket. Also makes me smile because I grew up on a farm my whole life but wound up doing a pop punk band of my own, so there’s a bit of a kindred spirit there. Cool deal, man. You love to see it! *side note and shameless plug: my band’s name is Pegme if anybody here is also a country music fan that loves punk music as well*
As soon as I heard Tequila Little Time I knew right away that Rhett Akins was a co writer
Good to see a local.boy from Dixon, CA making it.
I will henceforth refer to The Lumineers exclusively as “The Hey Guys”
Corb Lund has a song called "Hair In My Eyes Like A Highland Steer" that's the kind of cows JP has
Love the midland collab
I've never understood why people critique bro country and love the outlaws and forget to realize that it was guys like Waylon did their own thing. The kicked open doors for individuality.
Great job Grady!
