Watching this in theaters when the remaser came out was probably the most moving experience Ive ever had, in any song, any film, any concert. Byrne is a genius.

Oh I bawled like a baby
My favorite talking head songs and favorite version. I play this over and over. Love it…man she’s plays the hell out of that bass

Yeah, she's like one with David -totally in sync. Why did they not put the other singer up front-she sounds like an angel!
I saw this film in various theaters. again and again back in 1984-85. If the band in heaven play my favorite songs, maybe this'll be one of them.
So, so good. Everything about "Stop Making Sense" is brilliant.
When I was a baby, I always used to imagine people at a party leaving and then coming back immediately hearing the lyric from this song “when this party’s over, it will start again”

I do hear this is a common thing among my friends that listened to Talking Heads at 3 months old

Must have been an absolute moment 😢
Thanks for posting this. I love Tina's elegant, melodic bass playing.
Great version of a great song.
Best track of the set.
Que triste que ya no haya bandas como esta y un tipo creativo como David.
Love you Nan. Always and forever 🕊
Great arrangement! Love the bass and especially its level in the mix makes it so exciting! 😇😊
Every night in that certain AMERICAN town ...they decided ...ther wir no memories to burn,No more work days ,no more meat loaf no more meat loafer no more lite to go round.
...notice the offstage backup singer, yo? A Byrne production design element, for real

A Quintessential Nighthawks Song
Byrnes autism showing in this one. Pretty beautiful.
This would really work well as a country song lol
I love the song but I will never understand why he didn't go with "everyone is dying to get to the bar". It just seems much better lyrically compared to "everyone is trying"
Who does the backup vocals? Always thought it was Tina

@@oscarlommusic it's Lynn Mabry singing from offstage
From one reset to another, if you know what I mean....
Is that the guy from rems little brother or something like that?
Is that Tina singing with him?
