Yess same word for flying! Nice to see you making the connection :)

I was able to make a Finnish rolled R sound by picturing my mouth as a cave of a specific size and shape, then just relaxing and letting the wind blow though the cave. (Try it and see if it helps.)

hello Kath.. thanks for sharing this.. I love it.. if you can do also a video a traffic announcement or information that sometimes intervened in our car radio when driving. The annoucer talk too fast, i dont understand all of those perhaps can you explain ut word for word and or about traffic can discuss as well. Thanks

Both are okay! "koirien kanssa metsässä kävelyä" :) I think in some places they but like a bubble dome on the football field so you are kinda inside too and the snow can't reach inside xD

Here where I live there's a game that's a holdover from the old Norman days. You and your opponent take turns to toss little metal balls and see how close you can get them to each other. It's called "Petanque".

Ohhh I think we have that in Finland too and call it "petankki" - must be the same one :o

One question. Why in the word salibandy the y sounds like i instead of the regular y. I remember seeing one or two words before like that i wondered about it.

I think it's because it would be too hard to pronounce with the regular Finnish y.

Wot? No model railways or plastic model kit building? No chess or reading books? A railway model is modelleisenbahn in German btw. 😁 I've seen Finnish baseball. It's more like the old English sport of Bat and Trap than baseball, which was invented in England btw, 😆

Not bad! You could say either “Mä harrastan katchats kanavan katsomista” or ”mun harrastus on katchats kanavan katsominen” :)
