TALK joins Melani in the Indie88 studio to talk about his track "Run Away to Mars" which exploded in popularity this year.
The Ottawa-born and Toronto-based singer TALK visited Indie88 earlier this month to perform live in the Black Box studio and to have a chat on air with Melani. He talked about the sudden success of his hit single "Run Away to Mars" which didn't blow up until a year after it was first released.
He performed "Run Away To Mars," which has now amassed over 47-million streams on Spotify alone, as well as "Hollywood" from his 2021 EP Talk to Me. Visit our channel to check out the live sessions.

His success is so well deserved I found him on the uprising of his songs and am so happy to see he's getting attention!!!
It’s so wild because I randomly heard his music on a local station at like 4am on a Sunday morning after a night out. I was literally staring at mars in the sky from my car and this song just hit me right in the heart. ❤️
This dude- and his band- are the real deal. The EP is an absolute masterpiece. There are literally no skips. They are also unbelievable live. My wife and I got to see them at the Troubador and we will never forget that show. Guaranteed they are a household name soon.

Ever heard of bto?😜yea you have the guess who but that leaves out Turner that goes The same with The Band you have Robbie Robertson but leave out the predominately Canadian band members
I get the Alice in Chains unplugged vibe from the song, definitely a throwback like The Sheepdogs
I understand his success, as someone who found his stuff before he became successful. But what I don’t understand is why it was Run Away To Mars that went massively viral, and not Train or Hollywood, which I enjoy far more, and find to be even better than RAtM.
