Mortius you HAVE TO listen to metamorphosis. Do the Wildcard for sure but if you have time check out the live rendition at GBB 2021 as well.

I know you’ve reacted to den before, don’t know if they would be to beatbox to be enjoyable by non-beatboxers, but den’s solo beatbox vids for bbu, such as moments, sensations are props ably the most musical solo beatbox videos

Not Christmassy, but Beatpella House "Ticking Away", which Hiss produced is a must. His productions are so clean and allow you to fully appreciate everything that's going on.

loving the beatbox reaction! I suggest looking up on Robin, who's a phenomenal looper in beatbox community. Also Den with his BBU videos, you'd be surprise for sure, keep up the work!

You should really check Gene Shinozaki - metamorphosis beatbox wildcard. He's the one with purple hair, beatbox wise and singing wise you'll squeeze a lot of technique in one video

9:41 for your curiosity this is “Lip oscillation”you basically vibrate your lips and use your voice at the same time, the first time Gene does this in the piece, he basically voices the same pitch his lips are doing, next time he brings it back, it’s octave’d while being different notes, kinda like to make a two note chord by yourself, you could also do this without your voice having to be falsetto. So yeah that’s lip Oscillation for you, pretty easy sound too you could probably land it in a few weeks. (TLDR: It’s a vocalized fart sound 😂)

If u want a christmas beatbox song, I’d recommend Stitch- cause it’s Christmas. It’s only 1 beatboxer ,but Stitch has some great techniques that I’m curious to see your thoughts.

If you wanna check a quick beatbox Christmas video you can watch Berywam - Christmas Medley (Beatbox), its only 1 minute but it gets you in the mood. Maybe you can mix it with another video or something, but its definitely worth.

Of course beatboxing is acapella. But because there’s sort of two groups with different fan bases that have different emphases and tend to do different music genres it helps to distinguish those two groups. Acapella groups where most members are dedicated singers and beatbox groups where most members can beatbox and usually compete in beatbox tournaments. The terms are messy because acapella groups include beatboxing and beatbox groups sing, but there’s no better terms to refer to each of them. One of the reasons he covers beatboxing on the channel is because it’s a kind of acapella in the broader sense of the term. But he also needs a term to refer to the more singing focused acapella groups that he has more experience with and that most of his core audience comes to watch. Hope that makes sense.
