Like you said buying anything old comes with problems.Look like it been bodged.but you will sort it. Those side panels will be expensive and hard to source. Try and find some sort of coating and do both inside and out.good luck and all the best

Gut the whole compartment back to the bones.If you want to find any leaks and stop the rot.Take that Window out,cover over with some Tarp.Toilet out.It's no good trying to save 'dry bits'...It's all rotten!. Damp is like rust.You treat it from the outside and it will destroy everything from the inside.So you're really wasting your time using all that sealer.All you're doing is sealing in the damp.

I’m in no rush, I’ve got to take the toilet out to put the new shower tray in and also I have to take the window out to put the new one in haha so it’ll be done in the end. Just not now, I’ve got to go in a few trips in it next week so I ain’t gonna strip it all out yet. I’ve also got to mend the other wall; remember that one? The window leaks 😂😂😂

Ben don’t take this the wrong way bathroom silicone you used won’t work it doesn’t work on a bath ,you need to rip it out and start again,structural support on side will be rotten, van will rock about loosen windows. I scraped a caravan to use for my camper build.them toilets are a pain to get out, it’s screwed at bottom under cassette and it hooks at the back , may help when you do it! I’ve got some good caravan skin your welcome to it 👍use stickaflex

Alright matey there is no wrong way to take it mate haha I’m in no rush to mend it. I’ve got a new shower tray to fit and a few other bits. It’ll slowly get done dude. In the mean time I’ll use some more bathroom sealer to seal the tyres up because they’re got cracks in too 👌🏻

It’s not pain mate it’s a good thing because once you’ve got rid of it all and put new wood in after mending the holes it’s like new and you know it’s dry… I see it as a good thing anyway
