Takumi's Abandoned AE86 - Initial D // Unreal Engine 4 (RTX)
#Project33 #AbandonedCars #UnrealEngine4
Year 2030: First they came for the racecars. Congress failed to pass the RPM act, which allowed the EPA to destroy motorsports as we know it. Soon after that, they passed a worldwide bill banning gasoline vehicles from the streets forever. Now all that's left are empty metal shells filled with memories of times past. Each one tells a unique story, but mother nature is slowly erasing them from existence.
This is a digital 3D render I created using Maya, Substance Painter, and Unreal Engine 4. The support you have given me for these abandoned renders has been amazing! Lots of you including @lauch_46 have requested a rendering of Takumi's 86 so I hope you enjoy this!

This actually made me tear up a bit.... the music, the hat, the cup now full of weeds, the 100khm ding and the sounds of them excited after a big race it just strikes you hard its like the AE86 is reminiscing when it was loved and when it was king. After seeing the anime you will understand.... Thank you for your business, AE86

This may be really heartwrenching, but in the end, this car, owned by Takumi had the most honorable ending, no matter how many people object. I believe it deserved to go to rest after all that racing.

For me this hit hard, I had a Corolla in high school use to wash my car every Friday evening and head out for the night after watching some Initial D. I’d meet up with the guys for cruises or downhill crater runs… fast forward* we’re all older now, some have their own families some vanished… wish I could go back in time for one of those Friday evenings. If you’re in your teens just got your license and got friends you meet up with my advice make as much memories as possible, those moments don’t last forever the memories do.

2030, Takumi has retired from rally racing as one of the most successful Japanese drivers and currently lives in Europe. The Fujiwara Tofu Shop had been abandoned two years ago, as Bunta passes away from lung cancer. Ryosuke continues his MF Ghost program to keep gasoline racing alive, even if just in the underground. Keisuke and Kenta are now successful businessmen, having put their exciting past lives behind. They never drive their RX-7 and S-14 anymore. Mako has transitioned to electric car racing, and continues to pursue her dream. The touges of Akina, Akagi, Irohazaka etc. are now void of any and all street racers, as the generation of drivers who put their lives on the line to be the fastest on the mountain roads have long since become a distant memory...

Ima miss gas cars as much as everyone in this thread but what is going to stop the next generation of adrenaline seekers from taking there electric cars up the touges and racing all night? They are still cars, and many times they are way faster than most gas vehicles out there. Honestly I believe where there is a will there is a way and if there are people dedicated enough to tuner culture it will never fully die. I envision a cyberpunkesk future we're car ethusiests are hacking there cars, adding batteries, and generally just breaking warranties left and right to make there electric cars sick af. Plus if the right to repair laws catch up we might even have a healthy aftermarket for these type of cars, whatever shape that takes. Like I said ima miss gas cars but times change and you have to adapt. IDK i just find it impossible that there will be no one left looking to go at high speeds with some style.

they can't ban ICE cars from driving on roads, just the sale of new ones. theres still the billion dollar aftermarket parts industry to look after, and many ICE cars definitely belong on the roads and museums. Billions will be spent in the continued development of combustion engines and their fuels for at least another couple decades. Banning ICE cars from driving and banning the sale of fuels would be a fruitless endeavor, money is far better spent on clean energy and industry. Companies would probably start making fuel for existing ice cars on a small scale in the far future and it would be small enough to not be worth taxing. We can keep playing.

This just made me cry to see a legend now resting in peace...the midnight is quite...there is only birds, no racing...no more tofu...pure saddness...no more, it is all just a burning memory. The rival's car is no more...the gutter on the side of the road is now road...the wall tap scratches are gone...just a memory. Listening to the tape records, listening to the old times...the 90s, it was better. It was the legend's era...ending just immidietly maybe forever...
it is so heartbreaking seeing that car in such disrepair.
