yes. it is amazing how prices very from yard-to-yard state to state, I know different yards may have different overhead. and I think some yards pay low to maximize there profits

I don't follow can prices around here, think I saw a sign at a yard in the city that said .35 a lb. for cans. I will check with them when my can cage get's full. and the other yard not far from me

Good video. I have been drilling a small hole in my compressors bottom plate and set it on a milk crate to drain in a pan. It don't seem as messy to break open doing it that way

I drain what I can into a bucket using the hole in the side, then when I cut them open I have a drain pan that I cut them in, so it catches all the oil and it runs into a bucket

you can find copper almost everywhere, weight Add's up fast, and the price is good most of the time

I always like to have some on hand, just incase something happens and I need the cash, I have it to fall back on. like a savings account.

I wish our gas was that cheap , the other day I filled up , 5/8 ths of a tank , $90:00 . 👍🇨🇦

metal price has come down to 140 here in Owensville ,M O,, it had been 185.

yes, I have heard prices are dropping, hopefully they will go back up in the next 30 to 60 days

Do you ever check your windings on your motors to determine aluminum or copper say on washer/dryers where you have access to them to see whether you are gonna finish breaking down the machine or do you always break them down

I will check some of them, but a lot of them I will pull, I have a 30 gallon barrel I put the aluminum wire into

time to check other yards around, and check out of state if not to far to go. but save up a good load before you take the trip

Did I hear you right, did you say it takes a half a tank of gas to get to the scrap yard and back?

I hope I didn't say that, no its 30 miles to the yard. and this run I used the Colorado it gets around 20 mpg. so about 3 gallons. the 3/4 ton gets about 12 mpg. pulling the dump trailer. so it would use about 5 gallons.

best thing to do is google scrap yards in your area and get the phone numbers and call around and see who pays the best. then figure mileage and fuel cost.

What kind of wire stripper do you use for your copper wire?

I have a strip mister. I don't strip a lot of wire. about once or twice a year

wow here it just got harder to sell your copper by law, they will take a photo of you if you refer to they don't take you, copper, need a vault photo ID to the right address and a phone number you can be reached at first time selling copper 180 days before you get a check NO long paid cash money after that is 90 days check to my bank if it is not a paycheck you have 10 days to wait for your money is it with it

yes, most likely a new State law. for your state, they are trying to fix a problem by doing it that way. the wait sounds the worst part, having to wait for the pay. if you are not to far from state lines. may try a yard out of state. if you can put together a load worth the trip
