That's a really good idea about getting the barrel out of the truck. Better than man-handling it.

Happy you got a good pay day. You sure do put a ton of work in to getting it for sure. Loved seeing the lake you were at it looks so tranquil to me. 👍

Thanks 👍, the last day there, I sat in the lawn chair most of the day just taking in the surroundings. I was a little sunburnt and didn't want to make it any worse, very relaxing
Im holding on to ALL of my copper. I saw an interview with a billionaire who owns a copper mine and he said that the mines arent producing enough for what is needed. He said copper will jump ten times the amount it is now

Thanks for sharing with us Okie. Beautiful lake, and peaceful place to camp. Great copper haul tooSome advice on the kayak you plan on getting. Watch as many youtube training video's as you can find. Learn how to get back in after fall out. Practice that and get the safety equipment you need too. I retired at 70 years old, and got one, and have really enjoyed it for the past 6 years. I live on Lake Ft Gibson and there are so many places to go fishing here. I had to sell my motorcycles, but I can still Kayak. LOL

I am looking at the feelfree moken 10 pdl. it will be to get off the shore to fish, to have fun in, and to get some leg and upper body workout. I will be 69 in February, so the exercise will do me good. I would love to live on the lake, about a 40+ minute drive to any lake around here.

@@Okiescrapper That's a pricy little item, but worth the cost for sure. An early morning paddle watching the annimals skitter along the shoreline, the birds being fussy, and the deer having an early morning drink sure makes for pease in your soul. Just saying it might be more fun than scraping.
Wow that’s great

Beautiful lake! It is always so peaceful on the water. Glad I could help on the ice maker. They're like pool heaters...very rare to find, but nice to get for copper content!! I got to get the truck into the shop today. AC compressor is out and I don't dare run it and risk hurting the engine.

I do believe that all lakes in Oklahoma are man made.
Our lives have such parallels, both do maintenance, scrap and I bought a new kayak a few weeks ago! LOL I've been too busy dragging it home to get anything processed. Now comes the summer heat! IDK about OK, but here in LA (lower Alabama) we have terrible humidity.
@Okiescrapper
Жыл бұрын
we have bad humidity here too, south wind getting the moisture off the gulf coast, if I took the milage restrictions off the add I would be very busy bringing it in too. but I don't want to spend that much time driving to and from, trying to keep it around 20 miles from home. I am looking at the feelfree moken 10 pdl. I am very close to the weight limit so I will need to shed a few lbs. but as is have about 30 lbs. left for gear.
Im very surprised to see you had mixed your #1 and #2 together. Of course i'm sure thats a few years worth but i think i would have emptied the barrels and separated it. As you know...Every little bit counts. Another good video my friend and as always I enjoyed stopping by.

not very much #1 in the bunch, and only 10 cents a lb. difference so not a great loss

I don't get why some people wait to sell their scrap till the price go's higher ... All it is , is dumb ... You got it for free anyways just sell it and not have your place look like a dump
@Okiescrapper

well it is kind of like crypto and stocks, you hold till it goes up and make more, not sure how having your copper stored in 55 gallon barrels and inside a horse trailer makes your place look like a dump, may get it for free but it took gas to go and pick it up, and time to process it. plus electric
