Reminds me of my trip to Pennsylvania. You were so close to a sheetz in Princeton wva. Remember eating at the chick-fil-a and the sheets. Came back I 75 to see my sister in the Cincinnati area. Hit the buc ee's in Kentucky and Georgia . Was up there the week after the eclipse. Mostly low 60s Fahrenheit.

Love you guys road-trip vids. We do two road trips from Chicago to South Carolina and Florida. You guys have to stop at a buc Cees. Awesome. Overwhelms the senses.

Love a good road trip! How do you find the Tesla charging stations? Do you have to pay? Is it cheaper than paying for gas? The self drive looks so cool but it would make me nervous. I 100% agree about the Disney World sign - never gets old!!

Road trips are the best! So, when we get in the car for a road trip, the first thing we'll do is plug in the address of where we're going. The car will then update the GPS to include all the charge stops, with an estimate of how long in between each stop, how long each stop will take, and how much charge we'll have when we get in and when we leave. Sometimes we'll charge a little longer (like if we happen to be at a fun shopping spot, like Target), and the navigation system will just recalculate the charge stops to go a little bit further. It's super cool! We do pay at the chargers, but it's much cheaper than paying for gas. The rate is based on kilowatt hour, and will be higher during peak times, and lower during non-peak times. On average, we spend about $15 CAD per charge. Self-driving still makes me nervous - but it performed SO well! I do tend to manually take control in construction zones or heavy traffic, because it just makes me too nervous. That sign is the best!!

Do you guys usually have the window cracked a bit open while driving? Your maybe loosing 10-15 miles of range due to drag and the aerodynamics with the windows down.

We do usually have it cracked… mostly because James likes to vape in the car, and I don’t love the fog 😂 haha. One day he’ll quit!

So do you not preplan the hotel stop? I only did that once for an unplanned trip but even on the way back, we book the hotel we wanted to make as our goal

We almost always wing it! We keep debating whether we want to pre-book something, but we generally keep it flexible, so that we don’t feel too much time pressure. One thing we did decide is that we prefer to stay near a major city, so that’s what we’ll probably prioritize moving forward!

😂😂😂 On the route we take, as of right now, the only buc-ees stops are the two in Florida… I hope they add more along the way!
