taking myself to the new york film festival alone
did i really fly all the way from florida to nyc by myself to watch scarlett johansson & adam driver in a movie that's gonna end up on netflix soon? YES. and it was worth EVERY SECOND.

guys, it was an adventure. not only was it my first film festival, it was the NEW YORK FILM FESTIVAL. like, that's crazy. i never thought i'd be standing there. but i was, and i'm so glad i booked tickets. plus, i got to visit the museum of natural history for the first time, tried boba guys' lavender boba tea, got my aura read, ate a bubble waffle in central park, checked out the strand bookstore, and walked around on city streets christened by rain. aka, i was LIVING.

I've been to nyc on a whim a number of times (I live pretty close to it) but idk HOW i never thought of going to NYFF because I frickin love film!!!! Definitely gonna do this someday, great vid

omg YES!! you definitely should!! especially if you're close! & it was WAY more affordable than i thought - for some reason i thought a festival screening was going to be expensive af but it turns out a lot of the films are only a little bit more than a normal movie ticket?? and SO WORTH IT for the experience. i hope you have a great time if you end up going, because it was seriously so, so cool! thanks for your comment 💕

yes!! you should!! i thought i'd be scared but honestly it was such a freeing experience, lol. i definitely recommend it to everyone!!
Awww i would have totally went there with you. Never been to New York and just have been on one film festival so far. It was a local one where a film of my best buddy and me was shown. Not sure if that counts. But yeah, never really at a bigger one so far.
