In today's video I will show you how I take down my 3 week old mini twists protective style with no breakage. This is the first time I have ever left my mini twists in for 3 weeks and honestly I was pretty nervous on the take down. However, the African Pride Pre Shampoo made the process so easy and quick. -How long have you been growing your hair? Since September 9th 2020 which is my big chop date.
-What is your hair type? Low porosity, medium density and type 4 mostly 4b mixed with a little 4a.
-Do you always use heat to deep condition? Yes every week.
-Do you only wear twists? Yes like 90% of the time. If it's not in twists I'm rocking a high puff.

Three weeks?! Those twists still look perfect. My twists are a frizzy mess at three weeks😂 Mine also start to loc after the two week mark. I wish I could leave them in for a month plus like some ppl but I would literally have locs

Mini Twists are my go-to for the spring/summer months. I usually leave mine in for 4 weeks. I make sure to do them on stretched hair and keep them stretched and my roots stretched to avoid locking. Plus oil the hand helps to give a bit of slip for easier detangling.

How long have you been doing it? I heard that it takes up to six months before you are able to see visible changes with the twist method.

Hey Paige! I have seen all of your hair videos and I love your content. I've heard you say you wash your hair weekly but I've also heard you say in some videos that you kept your regular twists in for two weeks. When you keep your regular twists (not mini twists) in for two weeks do you wash your hair in between?

Hey, no I don’t wash my hair while wearing the regular twists if I’m keeping them in for 2 weeks. Washing my hair with twists causes too many tangles so I just wash my hair after taking down my twists. Hope this answers your question.
