I watched this video for the first time over a year ago and thought the color combo was amazing. Watched it for a second time today and my original comments have not changed. Your color scheme selection is and was outstanding.

I went back-and-forth about putting the blue stripe on my car. Should be delivered in the next couple weeks. I chose not to put it on but now I’m regretting that after seeing yours! There were not very many good examples, online of what the color actually looked like. Car looks amazing! Good job!

Thank you so much! I’m glad you like the build. My brother and I designed pretty much everything together. And we almost immediately decided on the stripe. But it’s only a decal. You can always have a shop put one on your car. Plus consider that there are many more aftermarket options than what you get from Chevy! So in that respect, you have the advantage! Good luck. the American Dream right there! congrats Sir! phenomenally spec'd out and configured. my only minor gripe with the C8 are the stock wheels, they are decent looking, but not necessarily great (save for the Z06 !) but that can easily be adressed through the gigantic and magnificent American aftermarket. I'd go for Aerolarri personally, but just my 2 cents. again, congratulations !

Thank you. Personally I love blue. It’s one of my favorite colors. I think they nailed it. It’s very reminiscent of ford’s grabber blue.

Honestly, the experience was incredible. What you see in this video is maybe only an hour or two out of the entire day. We toured the museum after and took a couple C8’s out on the track. The staff was kind and all around amazing! I couldn’t recommend the museum delivery more!

Congratulations it’s definitely a special car. Taking delivery of mine in a few weeks I’m told!

You know, we went back and forth on a couple of things but overall very happy with the build. We totally forgot to change the caliper color. By the time we realized, it was too late. However, seeing it in person, it’s really grown on me!

I would absolutely agree with you in that! Much appreciated! I mean, in theory, you could save that much by going with a z51 over a zo6 if not more. So bargain wise, this is it!

Love the C8 base sound unlike the C8Zo6 smh. Can’t wait for the E ray to hit the market. Will be the best sweet spot for the C8 with Z06 looks but true v8 sound.

Idk if I agree with you there. The zo6, to me, sounds something like an F1 car. Especially in person, I think it sounds amazing. However, the c8 is throaty and mean. Certainly nothing to laugh at.

Love the color combo. I am next in line to order one. Was going to do the Red Mist with Natural interior, but after seeing your video, I'm going with the Hypersonic Gray and the Blue Tension interior. Looks almost otherworldly! I bet you won't see too many of those on the road. The only things I'm changing is the calipers to Edge Red, the 5-trident-spoke machined-face Spectra Gray-painted wheels, and the smaller Z51 spoiler. Question: On my build spec, the head rests are in the bright blue color. On yours, I notice they did them in darker blue. Did you order that custom or is that just the way it came? I think I like yours better.

I love the color combo as well. I think the hypersonic with the blue is the perfect contrast without having the typical bright colored sports car. In regards to the calipers, that was just something that wasn’t selected from the factory and the standard option was that yellow/green color I suppose. But it has grown on me to be honest. But the head rests came that way when you select that interior option. So it wasn’t something that was selected. This was a custom ordered vehicle so every option and color was selected for this build for the exception of the calipers.

Not sure about the blue personally but nice spec

Can you brake torque a new V8 Z06? I would have been tempted to smoke the tire's inside the Corvette museum. Smoke would have been rolling.

Hey John. I’m not sure but I would assume you can. Our delivery rep told us that the c8 certainly can. Although you do have to be in the proper mode with traction off.

If only I had daily access, I'd make all the zo6 content I could physically handle. But i'll do my best to find one. They're so rare.

I have to admit I didn't like the look of the C8 when I first saw them the fact that it didn't have a stick shift and also they separated the rear exhaust tips but the Z06 has the exhaust tips together in the middle I can live without a stick shift but I would I want my tail pipes together on a Corvette all four of them

Well we knew that the era of the manual transmission has long passed. So although I’m not happy about it, I’ve made peace with it. In regards to the exhaust though, I personally am not a fan of the center exhaust. I prefer the quad tips on either side of the car. Just personally what I prefer. I see your point though.

QUESTION, How come your ZO6 doesn't have the center exhaust? The only one I have ever seen with exhaust towards the outside of the rear...

So our spec is not a zo6. We weren’t able to get one due to demand. But we did get a 3lt z51 c8 to our exact spec. The zo6’s we saw were at the beginning and at the end of the video. I’m not sure we’ll ever see that many together in the same place again!

Hey Brian. So start to finish was about a year and a half wait. I’m not sure if that is still the case. But I do know that the more options (particularly tech options), the longer the wait time is. I still think it’s worth custom ordering because you get everything you want, how you want it.

I think the stingray looks a lot better...i would rather tune a stingray convertible to about 700 hp, the z06 side scoops are ufgly

Are you worried about depreciation purchasing old technology? Lots of nice bling but performance for price just not there anymore compared to new tech electronic vehicles for lower prices. Similar to buying a flip phone when smart phones came out. Nostalgia maybe?

I think nostalgia certainly plays a role here but I’m not buying a car for solely performance. Im buying it for its soul. A soul which comes from its naturally aspirated v8 that screams and puts a smile on your face when you floor it. Tech wise it’s very much on par with the very best on the market today. So I disagree. It’s not like buying a flip phone in a smartphone era.

There were about 10 ZO6’s in the beginning of the video. One of which was a 70th. And this particular C8 is a 70th as well. You can see the 70th badging between the seats right above the wireless charger.

@@enthusiastdriven ALL 2023 Corvettes have the '70' on the console. That does not make them a 70th Anniversary Edition. Only White Pearl Metallic Tri-coat or Carbon Flash Metallic are 70th anniversary editions.

No this is in Kentucky. The zo6 has the center exhaust. Our 3LT Z51 has the Chevy performance valved exhaust which is on both sides

@@enthusiastdriven I'm an American, I live here in the US, I want US companies to succeed and I want to buy made in the US products. However hard I look at the C8 Z06, I just can't bring myself to even spend MSRP for the car because there are just too many unforced design flaws. I give credit for Chevy in moving forward and bringing out the midengine C8, certainly a huge step forward but so have all other manufacturers! I'm still hoping someday, I will get a Z06....

Chevy built too many of these. They will be everywhere and lose it's coolness. That is why when people see a Lamborghini or Ferrari they go crazy over it because you rarely see them.

I disagree. Sure it’s a mass produced vehicle. It’s hard to compare that to a manufacturer like Ferrari or Lamborghini. Especially considering the price and how many they produce. But drive one of these and no matter how many are on the road, you’ll quickly notice how people react to this thing. The corvette has too much heritage and too big a following to lose its cool factor.
