Zubair reported: 'A'isha asked: What disrupts the prayer? We said: The woman and the ass. Upon this she remarked: Is the woman an ugly animal? I lay in front of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ like the bier of a corpse and he said prayer. " Sahih Muslim H 1037 " before'A'isha that prayer is invalidated (in case of passing) of a dog, an ass and a woman (before the worshipper, when he is not screened). Upon this 'A'isha said: You likened us to the asses and the dogs." H 1038 I am not even going to refer to the "right hand possess verse - ma malakat aymanukum " 4:24 which allows Islamic invaders to take sex slaves of previously captive women. really this is astonishing that people have been using this word for women for decades including me. we unknowingly map such words to "stri", "mahila" etc. and think that they are same.

इनके नबी ने औरत को ढकने के लिए कहा इन्होंने पूरी नारी को ही ढक दिया है और ये भी सोचने वाली बात है कि उस समय इनकी कैसी हालत थी कि गुप्तांग तक ढकने की अक्ल नहीं थी।

Noun. عورت • ('aurat) (Islam) Any part of the body which it is indecent to expose. genitals.

I cannot believe that this word has been so carelessly used and we never even got to understand its true meaning. Thanks for sharing this information. Shame on those who have knowingly and shamelessly utilised this word so much so that it has become "normal" to accept the usage of the word for woman. Come to think about it no one in our household used this word and I always understood it to be a slang and degrading word for "woman" but never knew its real meaning.

Next word.. "Iman"dar ,Nikha ,

Sir aaj too aap ne damaka hi Kar diya mene aap se bohot Kuch shikha Hai me bi aap ki Tarah Chijo ko dekna chahata hu uske liye padna start Kar diya hai 3 Saal pehle job lagne ke baad aab start Kiya hai bas aap ko dehker thank you sir.

In my rajathani village, they use janaani for women. I used to find it dehati but now i feel Proud.
