I’ve struggled with addiction for 5 years. I’m 22 now and live completely sober & happy but most importantly I’m closer than I’ve ever been with God and it’s because of him that I’ve gained everything that I once lost. I was asking these questions" If he's in control why are all these things happening" but I'm better informed to ask a good question and not otherwise. I can't begin to explain what this message did for me tonight. It's 12 am and I've been up in tears about my life and choices for hours. Desperate for direction and an answer. They attack you and then expect you to apologize because it's your fault. After a while it makes you think it might actually be your fault because you're a bad person. I have a list of people I am seeking forgiveness from that will not take responsibility for hurting and controlling me yet I can't seem to have peace because I just want the peace that can only come through forgiveness. I do take responsibility for being a knucklehead at times but I just can't keep going through this with people!

True. But when someone "takes out their pain" on others (for whatever reason)...are they not causing pain to another person? Disregarding another by telling them not to " take it personal" is hardly an answer. Each situation is different. For those who choose to use their pain as a way to justify acting with hatred and malice, they should not be surprised if they are treated in like manner. Even if just rebuked. As Jesus did rebuke his adversaries..and at times even His Own. However, if one is truly a child of Yahweh then they Will be corrected by Him...if they are not, then they are bastards and not true sons and daughters of Christ. If one is in Christ then they should have self control..This does not mean they have to trust or even associate with someone who is continually causing them pain.

I needed this sermon thank you I shall overcome Anxiety and Depression with the grace of God !

Whatever Satan does to try to destroy you with God will ALWAYS turn around for His glory -- timing is everything. -- I have found out Jesus 99% of the time answers completely different than we pray. But He will answer if we endure the race. Think about what you're thinking about. Negative from Satan. Positive from God. Hang on everybody. I was moved to tears as i listened to this sermon. posted 3 years but God is still using it to change peoples lives.

This was a very good video. I started crying towards the end of all the hurt I’ve been holding in and so many questions and answers I needed to know. All I need is god ❤he matters. I never leave comments on KZread pages, mostly because I know it’ll never been seen. However, this Sermon pulled my heart right outta my chest and pumped it back to life again. Theses last few years have been tough. Divorce, moving states, new job, single mom, in and out of horrible relationships. Saturday was my breaking point. Saturday was the day I finally lost all hope and tried to take my life. Luckily I wasn’t successful. Part of me feels like I didn’t take enough pills on purpose, knowing it wouldn’t be enough to take me out but at least enough to knock me out for some time. Waking up was hard. I’ve never felt so lost, confused, angry and sad in my whole life. Today wasn’t much better. Slept 90% of the day and when I was awake I just cried uncontrollably. I’ve been watching Furtick for over a year now but lately I’ve been skipping past his videos, just not wanting to hear all the “God talk” Today though, God left me no choice. I opened my app and this video started playing right away, without hesitation. I stopped and listened. Steven, thank you for what you do. It’s people like you who give people like us hope and strength to some how keep going. Thank you. Thank you for saving me. Thank you♥️

been feeling lost recently, losing my father and my mother becoming distant i began to believe that my existence didn’t matter after so much taken away from me, no worldly motivation or council could help, i almost gave up. this message made me realize that those thoughts weren’t mine and that i have a purpose that the enemy doesn’t want me to see. appreciate you for your work in God’s kingdom.

You are loved and have purpose. I loss my mom in 2004, my bonus mom New Year’s Eve 2018, and in April 2020 I loss a cousin, brother, and my father all 5 days apart, yet, I trust that God still have a plan and purpose for my life! Stay encouraged and know that God is keeping you!

Just letting you know 1 year later … working night shift as a pediatric home care nurse, this message matters!! I grew up in church but had the faith of my parents and not my own, lost my youngest son to drowning 13 years ago and ran from the Lord. It’s been and up and down battle since then. Over the last couple of months our new business has struggled beyond belief and I was so so close to divorcing my husband because I selfishly thought he was supposed to make me happy….I was overwhelmed by stress on angles and then I was reminded only God can make my happy! On May 18th at 2:02 in the morning GOD WOKE ME UP!! I rededicated my life right there, just me and God. I know God has a purpose for all the pain and I know He wants to use my story for His glory. Satan has tried to tell me “Oh but your not ready yet. Wait a little while and make sure this sticks before you tell someone.” Right now in this moment I am refusing to believe this lie!!! When Jesus called the disciplines it says they immediately stopped what they were doing and followed Him. They didn’t wait till they were ready, God made them ready! I have struggled with fear and anxiety my whole life but I refuse to be controlled by it or what other people may think. I will never be good enough…but my God is and HE matters!! Thank you for this message 🙏

I'm glad you came back to Jesus. And I can tell you from my own life I know what it is to lose a child, it's tough but God is greater than the heartbreak. Now after 17 years God has used my heartbreak to love others going through this loss. He gave me understanding to understand what others are facing.

This has been one of the toughest moments in my life, but watching this video gave me hope again. It gave me hope to not let my fears control, but to realize what I can control and do it. I am larger than the temptations and the fears, and there is a reason im going through this. The reason might not be clear to me right now, but when I look back I will be glad this all happened. Amen.

God spoke to me and I realized that there's a reason that I'm here and it's to bring people to him in all that I do and say.

Came here reading this in February 2024, I feel like there were some parts that really resonated with me other parts, that my mind was just too distracted to comprehend. I still feel grateful to have actually listened to the whole sermon instead of logging off because Lord knows I wanted to log off so many times. I pray for peace and clarity during this time of my life.

Its crazy how God Jesus has not left me

After living on this earth for 30 years and failing and sinning I am coming to your house asking for you to take control of my life lord. I'm sorry it has taken me this long but I'm here with an open and honest heart. Put me thru the fire lord and mold me. I'm ready to change. I need change. I need you my lord. Specifically today, before I even watched this sermon, I was asking God questions about the certain state that I am in in my life and what I should do next and how I should move on in order to elevate and prosper to the next level in my life. The word "FOCUS" just kept coming to my mind. Something so simple yet so powerful. Yes God has a lesson for each season once you pay attention you will see that in every test God is using it for your good and turning it around but he won’t let you walk out a season without the value of your situation pumped into your head and strength. The testing of your faith makes you stronger during seasons and it will connect with the better questions and bigger trust And humbleness in the next season. God won’t let you walk out of a test without having value over your situation. You got this woman of God Jesus loves you and if you need guidance ask God to give you the right questions and patience in this season and guidance. He will do it according to his word ask and you shall receive. We can’t put a block on God so it’s time to stop limiting him to our own expectations and allow him to do it in his perfect will. No man can do what God does and the way he does what we ask of him or give us what we need is better than what we could do overall! Jesus is Lord above all he knows our hearts he knows our time and season he will remain faithful❤️

I've heard many of Steven furtick's sermons but this one touched me so deeply. I've been feeling since I was young very rejected, alone and questioning my existence. It's even harder now that my son has severe autism and we are isolated and feel cut off from society. I would always question why I had no family and no help but I realize God is really all I need. Thank you Pastor.

You ministered to my soul. As I have been struggling with worry ( what if ??? ) you said it word for word. I was making breakfast (in my robe). My hours at work ( two jobs) have been cut. I woke up in the (middle of the night) with overwhelming feelings of why ? With my adult kids ( relationships) from a divorce, that was not my decision, but I feel I'm getting the wrath of it all 😢 my favorite verse is Phil 4:7, which I prayed and cried out to God last night, saying you are bigger than my kids, my job and all the WHAT IFS ??? In my mind, right now. Take this feeling of overwhelming circumstances that the enemy is placing in my mind/ thoughts! I decided to prop my phone up while making breakfast to listen to your sermon, I'm so grateful I did... as I feel God was speaking to me through you... like you could see me and feel my pain. If you could please keep me in prayers for restoration with grown kids, I would appreciate it much. Now I'm asking, "Lord, why is the enemy so intimidated by me, what purpose and plan have You placed on my life, that he feels the need to convince me that there is something wrong with me?" The devil doesn't want you to know that what is in you is so much greater than what is against you.

Praying that my son who is transitioning to be a woman hears this message to know he has a unique and powerful message of Jesus' love to bring to those in the LGBTQ community, that so many gospel followers are currently and will continue to speak life over him not death; that he is in control of his choices and he doesn't have to feel powerless as he deals with the pain of his upbringing. I pray for his complete deliverance and healing in the mighty name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ!!

Christians need to do more reading and study before concluding that the first notion that pops into our head when we read Romans 1 is infallibly correct. Sometimes, the first thing we think when we read a verse of scripture is wrong. That is why we are encouraged to "Study to shew yourselves approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." -2 Timothy 2:15 ( In other words Do not quote Romans to be condemning until you study and know the cultural meaning behind the history of the text. Red and Yellow Black and White, Straight Gay Transgendered ...We are precious in HIS sight )
