So I bought a Godox 850ii (Flashpoint R2 Li-ion Manual), then it stopped working. Godox wouldn't replace it, so I'm taking it apart for you all. They have terrible customer service, so I recommend buying from Flashpoint instead.

Have the same problem. How did u solve it?
I have the Flashpoint 860ii and some reason the backlight works then it doesn’t. I see in your video the screen has connectors do you know if any of them are for the backlight? I’m thinking something loose.

Hello! How to discharge the capacitor on it before disassembling?

I usually use the 'test' button first, remove batteries, then test the contacts in the flash to see if there is still charge. If there is, I'm not sure what the best way to discharge it is, but I touched the wires together :)

One time I wanted to open a yongnuo flash. I removed the batteries left it for an hour, pressed the test button multiple times. It still shocked me when I opened it. Then I touched the wires inside to "discharge" it... It made a bang, some smoke and never turned on again... :) @@AaronGrubbPhoto

And it hurts real bad when it shocks you
You never identified the problem?
Butchered the chassis by using screwdrivers and pliers to pull apart, instead of spudgers
