I understood your reasoning, but let me say if we are recommending the videos, chances are we’ve seen them, we know how long they can be but your reactions to them make it worth the time, otherwise you wouldn’t get views in the first place we would just re watch the skits, we are here for y’all and knowing you missed a joke or two is just unfortunate cause you’re fun to watch laugh and it’s fun to laugh with y’all

He's like tipsy at best. If you can still speak straight you ain't drunk. Atleast that's how we measure in Sweden.

I'm a Registered Nurse and l used to work in a clinic near the Daily Planet in Elsternwick in Victoria (quite close to St Kilda). Most of the girls came to our clinic and l did a lot of the testing. They have to pay for the tests every month as Jim said. They aren't allowed to use Medicare for it bc its classed as work related. I used to have some interesting conversations.......

If you treat disabled people equally, then you best not treat them differently...and that includes jokes at their expense! Like Jim Jefferies said, the worst thing you can do is pity a disabled person.

as a disabled person I completely agree. :) it really bugs me when people come to the defense of disabled people when people make jokes at our expense, like we can't take it.

A big part of it comes down to whether or not you're making fun of the person for doing something, or if you're making fun of the disease or disability. At least that's how it is to me. It's about whether or not you're letting the condition influence how you're thinking or talking about them. There's also an awful lot in here that's the kind of thing that nobody with a conscience would ever say outside of the kind of relationship that he had with this guy, where they've been friends for all their lives. You know, the kind of shit talking you can talk about siblings or parents or cousins or whatever, where you get to say this but nobody else could, lest they get punched in the face.

He wasn't drunk, he was Australian. Also a professional.

I saw Jim Jefferies do this routine live. It was brilliant. I have seen him live twice and a load of us had a beer with him afterwards. He just asked which bars were still open and about 20 of us took him to the nearest pub. He is such a great bloke. Very laid back. You should to check out his TV series Legit. A lot of the stories in the series are based on his stand up routines including this one and a lot of famous actors including Carrie Fisher was in it.

The biggest thing with when he's making these muscular dystrophy jokes is that he's not making fun of the disease or people that have the disease. He's making fun of his old friend, in the way that you only can with someone you've known for decades. The kind of people who say things that you shouldn't say are talking without experience. They're talking about either hypothetical people, or just the group at large, and that's where it becomes a problem. This, I don't think anyone would really find a problem with unless they just have an issue with the language or whatever which is dumb enough. He goes to lengths to clarify why he's so comfortable talking about this guy like this, and making these jokes, and telling the story in the first place. He qualifies it to make sure that you know he has good reason for telling this story and making these jokes. He's doing it out of love.

He's an Aussie, he's not THAT drunk 🤣 This is coming from an Irish gal whose dad spent his 20s in Canberra. Drunk means different things to Aussies and Irish. The UK, too... Ooooo speaking of which, try Dylan Moran and Tommy Tiernan
