Taking a vintage 1952 Royal Enfield Motorcycle to an Irish Motorcycle show!

Another video from a long time ago I forgot to finish editing! We're joined by Jason Cairns and the lovely Vera on our way to a motorcycle show in Carlow. This was from back in February, I believe, so Daisy was still rocking her bicycle horn. Marty is in tow as well!

Was on the fence about uploading this video cos the audio quality is mixed towards the end, but hopefully you'll get some enjoyment out of it. Vera sounds fantastic when taking off at least 😁

Fritz got excited at the rows of Beemer classics and the green BSA made Oddball stand up smartly and salute! Hells Angels in Ireland? Okay....

With the sleep thing, just a point on that, I used to do the same thing even sometimes when I didn't have anything on the next day. What I've found is that if you wake during the night, whatever you do, don't look at what time it is, just go back to sleep. This seems to stop me waking so much, I might still wake a few times but it's not every hour any more. That old bullet sounds like the early part of the 20th century, just fantastic. Interesting to see all the old bikes and parts I love those shows here. Thanks for the video, all the best.

The more I keep watching Ur videos the more I want one. Love the sound of them especially with the other exhaust people put on the 500s. What's the price on them.

Depends where you are in the world I suppose! In Ireland, I got mine 3 years ago 2nd hand (or really, about 5th hand I think? 😂) for 3,600 euro. Brand new they were about 6,000. Nowadays they seem to go for between four to five thousand on the second hand market, at least in Ireland. Other countries vary, France I saw some Classic 500s as low as 3,000? If you're happy to take your time riding, hanging around 50mph most of the time and enjoying the scenery with the soundtrack of the dug-dug-dug, it's the bike for you. 😁

Hi Bert! Weather's been a bit atrocious here in Ireland lately so haven't had the chance to take Daisy for a good spin to make some videos. Hoping for good weather this weekend, would like to get a couple more videos out before the end of the year 🤞 Thanks for asking! Hope alls well with you!

I always encourage young riders to toss a leg over something old... as in 1950's or older.. something with more than two levers on the handlebars... perhaps a tank shifter with foot clutch... and discover when forward progress was literally beaten into submission.... then you'll understand and appreciate the progress we enjoy on today's machines... my RE 650 Interceptor is an excellent example of .... silky smooth... Even our 500 Bullets... are greatly improved from the 2009 and older Bullets... 😎

I've been blessed to take Jason's Vera for a spin before! For a machine over 70 years old, it runs great, thanks to Jason i'm sure 😁 Would love to toss a leg over more vintage motorcycles 🤞

The unit construction motors were cheaply construction compared to the pre- unit motor. The old motor was rebuidlabl e for ever ,the new motor is not. The old bike was more expensive to produce compared to the unit ones like a Jap bike when it blows up it will be more expensive to rebuild it than to buy another one. Let's see these bikes last 50 years. That's the real test of quality.

The old bikes are rebuilding for ever. Everything runs in bushings or bearings for long life. The new ones All run in bare aluminum because it is cheaper but not good for longevity of the motor .😢 Planned obsolescence at work. Today's motorcycles are a collection of government regulations on 2 wheels.
