Thanks for showing how you did this, and the hard work that goes into it. I've been asked to remove a big 7ft juniper. Nowhere near as big as your conifer, but without having any of that equipment I think I'm going to have to turn it down. Might be able to remove the branches with a hand saw, but I've got no chance with the stump!

Proper job, well done, the new plants or grass will grow well in that area. It’s nothing but hard graft to remove stumps like that by hand. Ignore stump grinding comments, that’s a half baked cheap and nasty method with leaves a lot of wood in the ground rotting down and causing problems. If you can get a mini digger in that’ll make short work of it, but access is almost always an issue in UK gardens. If there is a good anchor like another large tree and you leave a long stump, you can use a come along winch sometimes. They are about 20 quid on flea bay👍🏻 I admire you work ethic, I’ve done plenty of stumps myself and it is hard.

Proper job that mate, so much better than the stump grinder bodge that just makes a huge pile of chip and soil that nothing can grow in and that sinks if you turf over it. That was right at the limit of the farm jack. I passed my ones limit the other day but it has served me well for years so can’t be too sorry. New one ordered!

Did you use the chipped tree as mulch ?
I looked at the stump and thought good luck lol
I'm watching this while I should be doing the same, I'm just putting it off. I wish I had a ratchet lever like you 😎

Good one mate 👍👍😎
How long does it take. We're having 5 huge ones taken out ?
Jason, nice little chipper you got there. Tell me: I'm seriously thinking of investing in one, are they worth it? I like you, have medium sized van and don't wanna buy a trailer and haul off to dump, etc, etc. I'm a small business gardener. Can you give me your honest advice mate? Great grafter👊
Quality work!
Could u tell me what hedge trimmer are you using please
Great job. We pay a price for letting plants like conifers get out of hand. Leave it too long and the wretched tree is 20 feet tall, cuts out all the light ...that is where you come in.

Hi Jason, I love your videos could you please tell me what farm jack you used and how did you attach it to the stump? I’ve only seen people use chains with them. Thanks!🙂

@@jasongardener3425 Thanks, Jason!🙂
Man that looked like a tough job !!!
I often use a reciprocating saw to cut the roots, just stab the blade into the soil and work my way around.
Good work there bud.
What is the name of the tree jack you’re using to pop the stump?
U make life hard work mate for such a small job, no need for a pole saw at all and 2 hours to remove a conifer stump! You want to invest in a stump grinder pal. But as they say each to there own

Who needs a stump grinder when you have Jason Gardner
Another TOP DRAW JOB JASON. And people say gardening is easy!!!!! What's the make & HP of the CHIPPER Jason? Regards Jim from J.S.G.S. Have some REDUCTION jobs coming up myself. 🌳🌳😓😓
Like first, watch second 👍
You should use a pipe on the end of the handle to give you more leverage unless you're looking for the extra workout.
wow nice!can you link last tool?
Gave a guy a price to get rid of some dead pines including grinding the stumps. Bigger than this one. He decided to do the stumps himself. The time he took to do it by hand he was saving himself about $1 an hour. Good exercise but in his case false economy.
Hi Jason, what chipper is that?
Bet you were knackered

Mr Gardener , you guys do not have "stump grinders" in your country ? Also do you ever repurpose your mulch back into the property beds ? That was definitely a lot of HAND work !!
