Yes, it sure will and it will ruin your lawn really quick if you don't catch it early - I know from experience lol

I always find it tough to discern from fungus to drought stress. Any tips you have on this?

Drought stress appears more dried out than anything, whereas fungus appears more "sickly" looking. You need to get down to the grass blades and look closely for irregular patterns or lesions on the blades - these are typically the tell-tale signs of fungus around our area. Whereas drought will usually be more consistent and look really dried out. Thanks for watching Jack!
