My family have discussed what we plan to do when Islamic Sharia law becomes UK law. We will comply and we will survive. Our women will wear face coverings and what was once regarded with horror as genital mutilation will be obediently practiced without complaint. I researched this. 94% of all sexual crimes against children committed by groomin gangs is (or rather was) carried out by Pakistani men. We currently have a surge of Syrian grooming gangs joining the ranks. Dame (can't remember her name) spoke about the Rotherham case in the house of lords and it came to light that the money the government awarded the victims for counselling, de conditioning and rehabilitation equated to £45 each. That's it, that's all they were worth. The most recent figures show that there at the very least 150,000 children that have been affected and its been going on for decades. Its never stopped. it's only recently that the original men were deported, they fought the origional deportation decision and the tax payers paid for their legal aid.

Aa an American, it boggles my mind that the British people have to pay for this. I have really enjoyed old British shows on our PBC and have always respected the quality. Who does the BBC answer to? I used to watch it for international news as well as for their take on American news but it has been increasingly apparent that like CNN here it leans to the left and is woke. After October 7 th, it was so obvious how biased and pro left and woke it is not just about the Middle East but about everything. Based on what information i have read in other sources they are also very selective on what they report and rather than reporting from a neutral perspective as all good journalists should they report it from a leftist judgemental view. If the British people support it financially, shouldn't it be reflecting ALL views? Our PBS News here does have a very liberal learning, but though it does get funding from the government, it depends for most of their funding from volunteer donations.

He behaves in this manner because he knows that the BBC have his back. His views,his mockery are endorsed by the BBC.The days of Richard Baker;the dignity, the refusal to be drawn into person opinion, the courtesy devoid of acrimony are long gone.

@stephenrose1343 when I were a kid in the 70's, I used to really enjoy Richard Baker reading the news. Always professional with that amazing voice he had. It's a world away from the woke-ridden BBC today

I have clearly seen the personal views of dozens of BBC presenters, mostly on Brexit, straight white men, Israel, Bible believing Christians, British history, to name a few! That's why I dont watch the Biased Broadcasting Company anymore. Fed up with being insulted!!

@@DD-gt2cv If you want bias go watch GBNews, Talk TV or read the Daily Mail or Daily Express or listen to ex-Tories like Farage, Tice, Anderson & Co. The BBC have to be impartial. As for woke I assume you mean they include programming with an LGBTQI+ person or topic? Again the BBC have to cater for all licence payers and that includes those people. That's why they have programmes to cater for minorities such as people who enjoy gardening or tennis. Also on radio why they have a channel devoted to classical music (another minority interest). That's their function. If they were a private company not only would they charge more than £14 a month they would not have the money to cater for minority interests such as a radio station devoted entirely to clasical music - Radio 3.
