Gotta get one 1st cuh

That yellow stuff that fell out of the front cap!!!! On those models it is stamped into the top of the spinner. It's what holds the line tight against the front cap when you press the the cast button. With out it the reel won't cast properly. DIY FIX IS TO USE Prints from a plumbing kit around the little Brass 3 point star in the Spinner!!

Oh no, that was build up from bugs, debris, etc. That reel sat up for a decade.

Will do.

Look again at the yellow bits left in the top!!!! That's what the line brake on the spinner cone ends up after years of none use!!! Trust me it's not dirt!

Makes sense now. Everytime I reused this reel the line would tangle around the tri screw up top. Thanks for the information my friend.

@@JRMSweeps I'm a die hard vintage 33 fisherman I got an old Johnson and quite a few 33s I fish with. always looking to help another enthusiast. I find the most in farm estate sale really cheap. I even get the broke ones to use as parts. Keep on Fishin!!!
