That’s a very nice radio, truly wish with the expense they would use a 6 digit frequency counter! Nice video thanks for posting!

😕😕I have a RCI 69 BASE (not the PLUS),,, Love the radio, operates well. The one thing that drives me crazy is the 5 digit meter. Why? Is there a 6 or 7 digit plug in meter around that will work? or what can I do? Thanks for your help. LT

Besides the price, what makes the 2995 different from the 69 Base? They both do three bands, maybe the 2995 has a little higher output, but what else to justify the 200 dollar higher price tag? The 2995 does have the 6 digit counter but that ought not be a reason alone. Does the 69 Base have a freq counter plug on the back? Thanks

well friend, I have not watched both videos and instead of asking you any further questions, I'll do just that but the way you answered, assures me that I will never place a fkn call to YOUR shop. But you had to know that before you punched the reply button. Bo, there's just to many dealers selling shit these days for you to answer a goddamned question like you did. So tired of the Fktards these days in customer service positions! BTW, I have never written to Roosters shop before and if that's the kind of responses you, as the new guy, give, regular folks will take notice. Terrible that the original owner passed, the folks that own it now didn't even have the good sense to change the shop's name. As you bud, are just working at destroying a good man's name and reputation, one customer at a time. Won't be long now!

Main differences as far as features go, the 2995 has an actual VFO rather than being strictly channelized. If you want to go up 10kHz, just press the "man" button and spin the dial. No need to have a switch added. It has 10 programmable memory slots it can scan through and also does split RX/TX frequencies for 10m repeaters. It doesn't have talkback or echo though.

Under 600 Bucks for a nice Tri-Bander you can plug into a 110 volt wall socket is to much money? By the time you add a power supply and a small amp to say a Ranger RCI 2950 DX, You would have spent more money. Three Bands are nice if you have the license to use 'em, and by having 'a radio that can run these freqs, it might just be a reason to get your ticket, just to be able to use the complete radio. None the less, the 69 Base will give others the impression that your a Big Time Operator by it's loud modulation and, it's output should drive just about any plug-in-the-wall Amp, like an AMERITRON. Now, Get on the 27 MHz band this morning as Western Europe is blasting into South Carolina and lets make some noise! 73/Gd DX! 😎👍

For the price, I'd spend a little extra and buy a real 100watt Amateur radio that covers all the bands and has much better specs. and just do a MARS mod on it. Lastly, with the rate at which CB is dying in this area, I wouldn't spend any money on a CB only radio. - JMHO

Comparing apples to oranges. Probably a good topic to cover in a video, because depending what your goal is in the hobby buying an hf rig might make you the happiest person in the world or the most disappointed. If you're an AM only operator, as many people are, you'll be sorely disappointed with an HF rig vs this radio. And your area isn't an accurate representation of the hobby. As someone that's in the radio business as my primary income, I can tell you CB radio is more popular now than it has been in 25 years

I just hate how silly people are that think it's some brand new mode to radio when it's been around on export radios for 30+ years.
