To find one really talented guy, it is feasible. To find, two very talented guy, it is harder. To find 6 icredibly talented guys, playing together as if they were the 6 fingers of an alien hand while mastering harmony, rhythm, improvisation, phrasing... it is impossible but good for us, they truly exist !!!

This right here is amazing! I'm still blown away by this when I hear it. And, David Thomas singing the electric guitar, that just wows me to no end! Hearing him hitting those highs, that is still beyond belief (I've been seeing this vid since it was first posted all those years ago, and seeing David do his thing still blows me away!)! Still, these guys are too incredible for words!

Their performance is a dedication to Miles. This video doesn't show them saying that, but they make it known that their performance of "All Blues" is a dedication to him, and what a magnificent dedication it is.

There are simply no words for the mimicry of instruments concerning these vocalists. As what scat aspired to be, they took it to an outstanding level of exact imitation. No wonder why they're so highly regarded! Great Job!

I am about to make a really bizarre statement here. I bet these guys are really good at math. I say this because singing in the intricate, harmonic fashion that they do, uses the same part of the brain that math does. Music is math based really. Then on top of that, to be able to mimic actual instruments so perfectly is simply astounding! I think they embody the very definition of what music is.

I had no idea that Dave Thomas was singing the electric guitar. I didn't think he had the range. And, this was All Blues by the incomparable Miles Davis. This was bad like News Brown. I'd never have thought the the human voice was capable of doing what they were capable of making it do. These guys are incredible, or any other such adjectives!!!

Dude, that's kind of harsh... even for a bass player. But seriously, combo music was always 'covered' by all jazz artists. I've heard a lot of great jazz musicians play this song. Miles even played songs by other artists. Is that ripping them off?
