I am so saddened by the news of the passing of our dear friend and beloved composers, Ralph Carmichael. He was truly one of the greatest musical artists of our time. We will celebrate his life and all the goodness of his heart which he shared with the world. He was truly a messenger of the lord. This was a giant among musicians whose humility set an example for anyone he ever met. RIP. Feeling so sad today.

Wow, haven't heard this tune in decades. I sang it on college with the illustrious UMass Lowell Jazz/Swing Choir. I sang the solo at :59 back then. Not sure what made our choir director think I could hit those notes, but it did put a fire under me and I ended up nailing it.

Cannot believe this album was released so long ago, and yet these clean complex majestic harmonies are still as fresh as day one. Bravo.
This song touches me SO MUCH. Love to Take 6!! Bravo🙏🏾
Praise you Father 🙏🙏🙏
These songs brought me peace during the the struggles of my teenage years.
I remember when I was in a wedding and the husband to be sung this very song to his wife. They went through their ups and downs but I'm proud to say they are still together.
Wow, haven't heard this tune in decades. I sang it on college with the illustrious UMass Lowell Jazz/Swing Choir. I sang the solo at :59 back then. Not sure what made our choir director think I could hit those notes, but it did put a fire under me and I ended up nailing it.
Acclamation of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ vocalized for us to realize and sing along with a joyful noise. Thanks Gentleman. To God be the glory as your vocalizations shine forward and upward. My spirits lifted and focused singing along praising our Lord.
Just made cry such beatiful harmony 😢
Coronavirus playlist. And condolences to the families of Rev. C T Vivian and John Lewis. AMERICA! Especially to our young people, we have lost 2 iconic Warriors for CIVIL RIGHTS! May The Most High bless them. ❤️✊🏾
I grew up with Take 6...a staple in my life. I’m so thankful that I was raised listening to this group. My sabbaths were always with these guys. My favorite Take 6 song🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
They sound angelic and this is what heaven must sound like and what we look forward to hearing only God can give these type of voices out
TRULY BLESSED
First heard these guys in the late 80's & recently, too! No drop off in vocal quality whatsoever! God has blessed them!
When I first heard this, its beauty took my breath away. Then, I just burst into tears....
Anointed voices planted by God alone!!!! I love me still some Take 6😍😍
Beautiful arrangement... a lot of people are commenting how you can hear Take 6's influence on Jacob Collier, but you also can really hear the influence of Gene Puerling's arranging style (Singers Unlimited) on Take 6 - especially here with those rich chords and surprising movement of the harmonies!

Hearing this track at the age of 14 changed my life
God can soothe my troubled mind....❤❤❤
2ndMar2021 (after my birthday/ 47yrs old) keep it going. God bless💪🏾😍💰😷😎
This song helped me through high school and a shoutout to a park near Baltimore Pike in Delaware County, PA I used to go to whenever I went through problems with my family, teachers, or classmates.
Thumbs up if Jacob sent you here

Been a fan of Take 6 since 1989. Long before Jacob was born. I love that they've done songs together. They're the best a capella group I've ever heard. Although there are some other great ones out there, Take 6 tops them all in my book.
makes me really understand the importance of daily communion with The Most High i need love for all mankind!!
fall back into the timeless arms of god through harmony of the spirt. these brothers are free love

Haven't heard or sang this song in more than 40 years and I still remembered it all! Simply Stunning, thank you for posting...
This will always be one of my favorites.
I have been marveling this song and this entire record since I first heard it when it came out. It is still utter magic how this work of music like this happens even though I have studied music a long time now. It’s heavenly

"Spice, You makin me look bad out there!"
Balwin (the voice of the cats) told me about this song. It is beautiful, such as our friendship.
I also came because of Jacob and their participation in the "All night long" video. Great voices!
Was my go to song before going into a class of 30 high school students, double period, in NYC over 14 years ago.....
Heard this on Jazz FM at least 20 years ago. The harmony is unbelievable.
I remember when I used to listen to this group way back when I was younger. I'm talking CD albums playing on the radio. I hadn't listen to them in a while and recently I heard that this song was sampled. I hope this group is doing well, I love this song and the music they make
thank you, Ralph Carmichael for creating this piece...great job, guys!

Amen 🙏🏾. God bless you. God FOREVER bless you.
Incredible singers. Great stuff. Inspiring.
Yes, my brothers and sisters--- we talk TOO MUCH and fail to let God speak to us in quiet meditation. Try it---your Higher Power will speak, teach, comfort and soothe you from the chaos and din of the world around us in your quiet place.

THESE MEN TAKE PARTS SINGING TO THE APEX!
Listened to Tim Wood's version of this, so I wanted to hear the vocal version. Glad I did! Beautiful.
Wow! what heavenly voices.... drool what bliss!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That tenor!!! 👌👌👌
Heavenly 🕊🕊…
Without this group, half of the singers you hold in regard today, including Grammy Award Winner Jacob Collier...would not exist.

The best still...
Still moving after all these years. Truly a talent and anointed group of men.
1:53 here is one of those amazing modulations you were looking for
Who could possibly not LOVE this?
I have so long been searching for this song! Thank you, thank you!
SO FREAKING GOOD. MANNNNNNNNNN.
E.Jones Sent me here.
No group could ever compare they are what i imagine to sound like Jesus
I've never heard better harmonies ....
Devin Morrison's "Str8 Up." 1:47
Love this song
i don't have to worry if i feel alone because there's a section of the Bible that feels lonely, too.
such exquisite arrangements and I think this beauty still tops my list
I have loved this song since 1969, when I first heard it on Ralph Carmichael’s “I Looked For Love”. The guys of Take 6 took this almost-forgotten gem of Mr. Carmichael’s and polished to a most brilliant sparkle that is still such a blessing 30 years (!) after its release.
My favourite song on this classic album, arrangement-wise.
siempre acompañando Take 6, lo mejor que he escuchado en años

So glad I saw them preform
I remember when this album came out. This sounds like it could have been sung by a church youth group in the 60’s
...4 me now n 2015 @ the privyed age of "40yrs" young{tests-trials&"chord changes} backtracking 2 1988 as j high student(E.G.C.A} etc......when I sonically 1st heard the xtreme, intense emotional executioned delivery voiced by these 6 individuals on Mr. Ralph Carmichael's composition.........that feeling still is "unconventionally the same"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
